Zodiac Launches Super Sea Wolf Watches With Exquisite Malachite And Lapis Lazuli Dials
Zodiac has joined the trending stone dial phenomenon with two exquisite limited editions of its iconic Super Sea Wolf collection, featuring unique Malachite and Lapis Lazuli dials. Each dial showcases its distinct, one-of-a-kind stone pattern, making no two watches identical. The Malachite edition boasts wavy, diagonal lines that oscillate between deep green tones, almost reaching black, while the Lapis Lazuli model captivates with an abstract blue pattern highlighted by golden pyrite accents. These contrasting designs elevate Zodiac’s collection with an artisanal touch, appealing to collectors who value the exclusivity and natural beauty of stone dials.
Encased in a robust stainless steel structure measuring 40mm in diameter, 14mm in thickness, and 49mm in length, these Super Sea Wolf models differ slightly in case finish. The Malachite version receives a sleek black DLC coating, whereas the Lapis Lazuli model features a polished finish that complements its vivid blue dial. Both versions share a unidirectional bezel with a ceramic insert in tones matching the dial, complete with a 60-minute scale where the first 15 minutes are highlighted and a luminous pip at noon.Zodiac has equipped each model with a sapphire crystal, a fluted crown at the 3 o’clock position marked with the brand’s signature, a screw-down solid case back, and a water resistance of up to 200 meters, ensuring durability and performance.
On the dial, the Malachite variant includes a dark green chapter ring with white indexes and blackened, applied hour markers, each filled with Super-Luminova for excellent legibility. It also features silver central hands, with the minute one coated in green with the same luminescent material. In contrast, the Lapis Lazuli model is fitted with a blue chapter ring, silver indexes, and matching silver hands, each equally filled with Super-Luminova.
Powering these stone-dial Super Sea Wolf watches is the STP1-21 automatic movement, a reliable clone of the ETA 2824, offering a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of up to 40 hours.
Both models come with a Jubilee-style steel bracelet that complements their respective case finishes, securing with a butterfly clasp for a seamless look. Limited to 300 pieces each, the Lapis Lazuli edition is priced at USD 2,095, while the Malachite edition is available at USD 2,295. Zodiac’s new Super Sea Wolf releases masterfully combine the allure of natural stone dials with technical precision.
