Zenith Unveils Boutique-Exclusive Defy Skyline Chronograph
Zenith brings an exclusive Boutique edition of its Defy Skyline line debuted in 2022.
It’s a steel chronograph with a slate grey dial with gilt accents, powered by the unavoidable Caliber El Primero 3600.
On the outside no surprises, embracing the traditional 42mm stainless steel octagonal case with a 12-sided bezel that sets the collection, which comes with a mainly brushed finish and polished on the bevels. Screw-down crown sculpted with a 5-point star and flanked by two horizontal pushers, open case back and 100m water resistance.
The grey dial features a golden sunken stars background that matches the applied hour markers, hands and framed date window at 4:30. Displaying the traditional design of three records at 3-6-9 o’clock with a 60-second register, 60-minute counter and a running seconds respectively. The chronograph centre seconds come with a star-shaped counterweight and describes a 360th turn for every 10 seconds supported by the 1/10th of the second scale on the rehaut.
As already stated, it’s powered by the In-house automatic movement El Primero 3600 which reaches 36,000 Vph and offers up to 60 hours of power reserve. It can be seen through the rear sapphire glass highlighted for the skeletonized rotor in a 5-point star shape.
In addition to the stainless steel bracelet the set also includes a black rubber strap with the same stars pattern already available exclusively in the brand boutiques for CHF 12,900.
