Zenith Joins Susan G. Komen With Limited Edition Defy Skyline Pink Dial
Zenith has once again partnered with Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer non-profit organization, to introduce a limited edition of the Defy Skyline for 2024. This marks the third consecutive year that the Swiss watchmaker joins the fight against breast cancer, reinforcing its commitment through the HORIZ-ON initiative, which focuses on corporate social responsibility. Previous years saw the release of the Chronomaster Original in 2022 and the Chronomaster Sport in 2023, featuring pink dials. Now Zenith has brought this signature pink hue to the Defy Skyline collection, marking the first time this line has featured a pink dial.
The new Defy Skyline is designed with a sport-chic aesthetic, boasting a 41mm stainless steel case with an integrated bracelet. The watch features a 12-sided bezel, a brushed finish on the surfaces, and polished bevels that give it a sleek, modern look. Its durability is enhanced by a sapphire crystal on both the front and back, a crown positioned at 3 o’clock adorned with the brand’s signature, and a water resistance of 100 meters.
The striking metallic pink dial showcases Zenith’s traditional four-point star pattern, replicated across the surface with a sunburst finish. Other key features include applied indexes and hands filled with Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in low light, a 1/10th second sub-dial at 9 o’clock, and a date window next to the crown with a matching background. A minute chapter ring runs along the edges of the dial, and the brand’s embossed five-point star, in silver, is prominently placed at noon, followed by the Zenith lettering.
Powered by the El Primero 3620 automatic movement, the Defy Skyline operates at a high frequency of 5 Hz and contains 35 jewels, delivering an impressive 60-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp and includes an additional white rubber strap, allowing for versatile styling.
Limited to just 100 pieces, this exclusive timepiece is priced at €10,800, with 20% of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen, further supporting breast cancer research and awareness.
