Zenith Expands Defy Extreme Collection With Striking Silver-Dialed Edition
The latest Zenith Defy Extreme silver-dial variant brings a striking update to the lineup, joining the black and blue versions introduced at Watches and Wonders 2024. This model maintains the robust and adventurous spirit of Zenith’s iconic 600m waterproof Defy diver, preserving all the signature elements that define the Defy Extreme collection while introducing a sophisticated silver-white dial paired with a black ceramic bezel.
The new model is housed in a distinctive octagonal 42.5mm titanium case with a fixed 12-sided bezel, a hallmark feature of the Defy Extreme series. This geometric bezel, crafted to enhance the watch’s modern, industrial look, is paired with a unidirectional diving bezel featuring a black ceramic insert filled with Super-LumiNova for superior readability. The case displays Zenith’s precise craftsmanship with brushed finishes on the surfaces and polished accents on the bevels and crown, while the robust screw-down crown and prominent guards ensure reliable water resistance to an impressive 600 meters. For underwater functionality, the watch also includes a Helium escape valve, making it an ideal companion for professional divers.
The silver-white dial is adorned with Zenith’s signature four-pointed star pattern, accented by an orange chapter ring. Black and orange semi-skeletonized hands and hour markers filled with luminescent material further enhance readability. A subtle date window near the crown integrates seamlessly into the dial design, maintaining a balanced aesthetic.
Powered by Zenith’s Caliber El Primero 3620-SC, an iteration of the 3600 automatic movement, this watch delivers precision with a high frequency of 36,000 Vph and a 60-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire crystal case back, the skeletonized rotor shaped like Zenith’s star is visible, showcasing the brand’s dedication to horological artistry.
This silver-dial Defy Extreme offers versatility with three strap options: a titanium bracelet, a black FKM rubber strap, and an eco-friendly grey strap made from recycled fishing nets. Priced at €11,800, it embodies a blend of technical sophistication, durability, and aesthetic appeal that resonates with collectors and diving enthusiasts alike.
