Yema Unveils The Superman Bronze CMM.10: A Limited Edition In Two Sizes

Yema expands its Superman lineup with a new limited edition crafted in bronze and powered by the brand’s in-house CMM.10 automatic movement. Offered in 39mm and 41mm, this special release blends the Superman’s recognizable tool-watch identity with a case and bezel made from a metal long associated with nautical instruments.

Bronze Construction with Distinctive Finishing

The case and bezel of this Superman edition are machined entirely from solid bronze, a material favored in maritime equipment for its durability and its ability to develop a distinctive patina over time. Yema enhances the geometry of the watch by applying different finishes across the surfaces. The top of the case features vertical brushing that reinforces its utilitarian character, while the edges are highlighted with polished chamfers to create contrast. The bronze bezel also receives a radial brushed finish, emphasizing its circular form and giving the engraved 60-minute diving scale a crisp, technical appearance. A luminous pip at the 12 o’clock position completes the functional layout expected from a modern diver.

Signature Bezel-Locking System

One of the most recognizable elements of the Superman family remains intact: Yema’s patented bezel-locking system. Located at the three o’clock position, the locking mechanism functions together with the screw-down crown. When the crown is tightened, the small locking arm engages the bezel and holds it in place, preventing accidental rotation. This system maintains the watch’s water-resistance rating of 300 meters and preserves an important historical feature of the original 1963 design.

New Sandwich Dial with Vertical Brushing

For this edition, Yema introduces an entirely new sandwich-style dial finished in a deep indigo blue. The upper layer is vertically brushed and features cutouts that reveal the white lower plate beneath, forming the distinctive triangle, dash, and dot markers associated with the Superman. This release adopts a time-only layout, giving the dial a symmetrical, streamlined appearance. The hands and hour markers are coated with blue-glowing Super-LumiNova to ensure visibility in low-light environments. The enlarged minute hand, a hallmark of the Superman line, receives a bronze-toned finish that matches the case. Covering the dial is a double-domed sapphire crystal that rises 2.20 mm above the bezel, improving legibility from sharp angles and contributing to the retro-inspired profile of the watch.

Exhibition Caseback Featuring the Manufacture CMM.10

The caseback is fitted with a sapphire crystal exhibition window that reveals Yema’s in-house CMM.10 automatic movement. The caliber operates at a frequency of 4Hz, providing precise timekeeping and a smooth sweep of the seconds hand. It offers a power reserve of 70 hours, giving the wearer nearly three days of running time between winds. For this bronze edition, the movement is equipped with a bronze-colored rotor signed by Yema, reinforcing the aesthetic continuity of the watch. The exhibition window is secured by a steel ring that preserves the overall water-resistance rating of 300 meters.

Strap Options

Yema includes two FKM rubber tropical straps with every watch. Both straps feature a perforated pattern designed for ventilation and come fitted with a bronze pin buckle that matches the case. The only difference between the two is color: one is supplied in blue to complement the dial, while the other comes in white to provide an alternative look.

Limited Edition and Pricing

The Superman Bronze CMM.10 Limited Edition is available in two case sizes, 39 mm and 41 mm. Both versions share identical specifications, design features, and finishing. Each size is limited to 100 individually numbered pieces, with numbering engraved on the caseback ring. The price for both versions is set at € 1,790.
