Wren x Ben’s Watches Unveil The Diver One Magma
Wren Watches has quickly gained recognition among enthusiasts for producing dive watches that combine practicality with distinctive design. The brand’s latest release, created in collaboration with Ben’s Watches, introduces a striking new interpretation of the Diver One series: the Diver One Magma. Limited to just 100 pieces, this edition blends robust specifications with a bold visual identity inspired by volcanic energy.

Case and Build Quality
Unlike the recently introduced Wren Diver 38 Seafoam and Aqua with its compact 38 mm case, the new Diver One Magma presents a more robust 41mm stainless steel case. Combined with a 47 mm lug-to-lug span and a thickness of 13.30 mm, the proportions strike a balance that makes the watch versatile and comfortable for everyday wear. A sapphire box crystal protects the dial, while the watch offers 200 meters of water resistance, affirming its credentials as a capable dive companion. On the back, the case is decorated with Wren’s namesake bird, pressed into the steel as a nod to the brand’s identity.

The Dial: Forged in Fire
At the heart of this release lies its standout feature — the fumé dial. Transitioning from a fiery red-orange center to deep black edges, the gradient draws inspiration from molten lava cooling into solid rock. This elemental theme gives the watch its name, “Magma,” and delivers a striking aesthetic rarely seen at this price point.

The model also introduces two firsts for the Diver One collection. It features black lume, which glows with a coal-like hue in darkness, and a ceramic bezel insert colored to resemble volcanic stone. Beyond aesthetics, ceramic provides excellent scratch resistance, making it an ideal material for a dive bezel.
Straps and Versatility
Each Diver One Magma is delivered with two strap options to suit different wearing situations. A flat-link stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjustment offers a classic and practical look, while a black rubber strap provides comfort and sportier appeal.

Movement
Inside the case, the watch runs on the reliable Sellita SW200 automatic movement. This Swiss-made calibre operates at 4 Hz, includes hacking seconds and a quickset date, and provides a 38-hour power reserve. Known for its durability and ease of servicing, the movement reinforces the Diver One’s practicality-first approach.

Limited Edition and Availability
The Diver One Magma is a limited edition of 100 pieces, individually numbered. Pre-orders are now open, with the first 50 watches ready for immediate delivery and the remaining 50 scheduled to ship later this year. Pricing is set at USD 1,075, positioning the Magma firmly within the microbrand sweet spot while offering enthusiasts a blend of storytelling, technical reliability, and unique design.
