When Darkness Falls: The New Bell & Ross BR-X3 Night Vision Comes Alive
Bell & Ross continues to explore the connection between aviation and watchmaking with the release of the new BR-X3 Night Vision, a striking evolution within the BR-X3 series. Drawing inspiration from nighttime flight missions and head-up display (HUD) technology, this new model celebrates two decades of the brand’s signature “circle within a square” design while introducing an advanced luminescent case material that transforms its appearance after dark.

A Futuristic Case Design
The BR-X3 Night Vision retains the technical case architecture of the BR-X3 series but reimagines it with bold, high-performance materials. The 42 mm case is built using a sandwich construction, combining multiple layers for both durability and visual depth. The top and bottom plates are crafted from LUM-CAMO, a high-tech composite that fuses carbon fiber with Super-LumiNova resin.

During the day, the case appears predominantly black with subtle green accents, while at night, it emits a vivid green glow reminiscent of the illuminated displays in modern fighter jets. Four visible screws secure the structure, set within photoluminescent green rubber cylinders, adding a functional yet futuristic touch. Completing the case, the central body is made of PVD-coated titanium, ensuring a lightweight yet robust build suitable for professional use.
A Multi-Layered Luminescent Dial
Beneath a green-tinted sapphire crystal, the dial showcases the BR-X3’s characteristic open-worked X-shaped structure. Green accents highlight key components, providing excellent contrast and legibility both day and night. The dial incorporates a sapphire lower plate, partially revealing the mechanics below, enhancing the technical aesthetic.

Functional elements include a date display at 3 o’clock featuring three visible numerals and a power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock, marked with “E” (empty) and “F” (full) to denote the 70-hour power capacity. Extensive use of Super-LumiNova ensures exceptional nighttime readability across the dial and indices.
Powered by the BR-Cal.323
At its core, the BR-X3 Night Vision is driven by the BR-Cal.323, a movement developed in collaboration with Kenissi, renowned for its precision and reliability. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 70-hour power reserve, the chronometer-certified automatic movement guarantees consistent performance. The movement can be admired through the sapphire caseback, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to technical excellence and modern watchmaking.

Limited Edition with a Tactical Edge
Completing the look, the watch is fitted with a black rubber strap, enhancing comfort and durability. The Bell & Ross BR-X3 Night Vision is a limited edition of 250 pieces, underscoring its exclusivity.

Combining advanced materials, robust construction, and a captivating luminescent design, this model stands as a tribute to Bell & Ross’s aviation DNA and technical innovation.
