Watches that Will Bring Us a Smile
Because there are days when we need to put aside our expensive and complicated watches to replace basic watches that put a big smile on our face, today we look at the latest releases from Timex that promise to bring some sparkle to our lives these days.
Let’s start with the funniest, the Timex X Pac-Man T80. If you are like us from the ’80s, this probably brings back nostalgic memories, when we spent hours and hours playing these basic digital games with our brothers, friends or even alone, it didn’t matter because we enjoyed every second. Unfortunately, this watch does not bring the game, even if we wanted it, we have to be content with the dial painted with the dear Pac-Man that brings us such good memories where everything was simpler, where Pac-Man was just a cool game. This watch comes with an alarm, stopwatch, date, Indiglo lighting, 30-meter water resistance and Pac-Man engraving on the case back. These watches are equipped with a quartz movement, a resin case in black, silver or gold-tone (depending on the model chosen) measures 34 mm in diameter, 10 mm thick and acrylic glass and 18 mm stainless steel bracelet width. At the moment it is not available on the EU market, but it will probably be soon, the price is $ 79 in the USA and should cost the same here, but in euros (€ 79 according to Timex trade policy in the EU).
Another of the Timex launches takes place in the Timex Marlin Automatic X Peanuts collection. One year after the first edition of this collection was introduced on the market with the “Snoopy Flying Ace”, which was a tremendous success and remaining mostly time sold out, Timex has now decided to add two new variants, the first “Charlie Brown” and the second “Snoopy Space Traveler”, the last of which to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing. We haven’t been able to decide which one we like the most, but it is certain that any one of them will elicit many smiles. Both watches come equipped with an automatic Miyota movement, brushed/polished stainless steel case 40mm in diameter, 13mm thick, acrylic glass and leather strap 20mm wide. The “Snoopy Space Traveler” variant comes with a black PVD-coated steel case with a silver dial. The “Charlie Brown” variant has a white dial and unlike the other two variants in the collection, it has a date window at 3 o’clock. These watches have a water resistance of 30 meters. The three models are available in the EU, priced at € 249.
The third and last launch we are talking about today is the new edition of Timex Q, after almost six months of the arrival of “Timex Q Reissue”, Timex launches another model in the collection, the “Timex Q Falcon Eye Reissue”, another model inspired by the years 70, the golden age of quartz movements. This watch looks very fun and cool, the stainless steel case with a blue dial and gilt details brings us great vibes and will make you stand out from the crowd. Unlike the sporty style of the previous Timex Q, this new one has a more dressed style, but in the end, these two Timex Q models are fun and enjoyable options, so we leave the specs for both. These watches come equipped with a quartz movement, a brushed/polished stainless steel case 38mm in diameter, a thickness between 11.50 and 12mm, acrylic glass, a blue/red bezel (Pepsi) on the “Timex Q Reissue” and a gilt bezel on the “Timex Q Falcon Eye Reissue”, both come with a blue dial, day-date window at 3 o’clock, 18mm wide braided stainless steel bracelet and feature 50-meter water resistance. The price of each one is € 179.
