Venice And Monet Meet In Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Tribute Enamel Collection
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel “Venice Series” collection, launched during the prestigious Homo Faber event in Venice, is a stunning fusion of fine watchmaking and artistic craftsmanship. Inspired by Claude Monet’s iconic depictions of Venice, this exclusive collection showcases three exquisite timepieces, each limited to only 10 pieces.
Each watch pays homage to the beauty of Venice, featuring Monet’s renowned paintings *”San Giorgio Maggiore,” “The Grand Canal,”* and *”The Doge’s Palace”* on their casebacks. These timepieces celebrate the art of enamelling, with the casebacks requiring over 70 hours of painstaking craftsmanship, 14 layers of paint, and five firings at 800°C to achieve their delicate beauty.
The dials of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel collection are equally remarkable. The “San Giorgio Maggiore” (Ref. Q.3.9.334M4) boasts a blue dial with a vertical intricate guilloché pattern, expertly created with Grand Feu enamel through five layers of coating and seven firings at 800°C. The “The Grand Canal” (Ref. Q.3.9.334M5) features a stunning green dial with a horizontal wave guilloché pattern, offering a different perspective on Venice’s rich landscapes. Lastly, “The Doge’s Palace” (Ref. Q.3.9.334M6) showcases a blue dial with a mesmerizing diamond guilloché pattern composed of 981 lines, further enhanced by the multi-layered Grand Feu enamel process.
These watches are housed in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s signature rectangular cases, crafted in polished white gold. Each case measures 27.40mm in width, 9.73mm in height, and 45.60mm in length, perfectly encapsulating the timeless elegance of the Reverso design. With sapphire crystal, a fluted crown, a luxurious black alligator leather strap with a white gold folding clasp, and are powered by the hand-wound Calibre JLC 822.
The craftsmanship dials are adorned with faceted hour markers, classic Dauphine hands, and a white railway minute track, reflecting Jaeger-LeCoultre’s attention to detail.
Although the price of these watches remains undisclosed, their exclusivity, limited to just 10 pieces each, underscores Jaeger-LeCoultre’s dedication to haute horlogerie and artistic expression.
