Vacheron Constantin Presents The New Overseas Tourbillon High Jewellery
Vacheron Constantin is the latest brand to dress up for the Christmas and New Year festivities, with the arrival of the new Overseas Tourbillon that comes with baguette-set diamonds.
The latest newcomer in the Overseas collection wears for the first time a white gold case that proudly displays a sparkling bezel due to the shine of its diamonds and alongside its blue dial whose diamonds share the spotlight with the tourbillon.
On the outside, the new Overseas wears the usual round-shaped case measuring 42.50mm in diameter by 10.39mm in thickness thanks to its ultra-thin movement, a six-sided bezel with 85 baguette-cut diamonds, satin-brushed surfaces and polished bevels, sapphire glass on both sides, screw-down crown that comes with the brand’s signature and 50m water resistance.
And if luxury is the main course on the outside, on the dial the level doesn’t drop, displaying a sunburst lacquered blue background that comes adorned with applied diamond hour markers, two center pencil hands filled with Super-LumiNova and a 60-seconds tourbillon attached by a gold chaton and with a cage in the shape of a Maltese cross.
At its heart lives the In-house automatic Caliber 2160 movement which is surrounded by an iron-soft ring that protects it against magnetic fields, is just 5.60mm thick, operates at 18,000 Vph and is capable of offering up to 80 hours of reserve of march. As is the brand’s tradition, the movement is carefully decorated by hand, which can be seen through the rear glass, highlighting the 22k peripheral gold rotor.
In addition to the integrated white gold bracelet to which it is attached, the set also includes two extra blue straps, one in rubber and the other in calfskin rubber, both with a white gold pin buckle with 16 baguette-cut diamonds. The price upon request.
