Unveiling Citizen’s Super-Titanium Small Seconds

Citizen is another Japanese brand that continues to be very active in the market, bringing new value propositions, now with the new Super-Titanium Small Seconds within the NJ0180 Series.

The new sports watches with an integrated bracelet and appealing textured dials, contrary to what many would be led to think, are not included in the Tsuyosa collection, although they could be since the style is very similar, however, in addition to the material there are many differences both in the design of the case or dial layout, but let’s get to the facts.

The new watches feature a Super-Titanium case that is registered and owned by the brand, offering resistance 5 times greater than stainless steel. Presented in a 40.50mm wide by 11mm tall barrel-shaped case, which comes with a brushed finish on the surfaces and polished on the bezel and bevels. Sapphire crystal on the front and mineral on the case back, fluted crown at 3 o’clock and 100m water resistance.

On the textured dial, we find four different colour variants: deep green, turquoise, white and dark blue, all featuring applied hour markers and faceted pencil hands filled with luminescent material, a date window next to the crown and a small seconds at 4:30 which like the minute track comes with an azure pattern with sunburst finish.

Inside, the new Citizen is powered by the Caliber 8213 automatic movement, which has an accuracy of +/- 20 seconds per day, running at a frequency of 3 Hz and offering up to 40 hours of power reserve.

The watches come attached to a Super-Titanium bracelet to match the case and a folding clasp, which once again arrive at a highly competitive price of €429.
