Continuing its long-standing connection with the renowned Silvretta Classic rally, Union Glashütte unveils the new Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026, a special edition inspired by the vibrant aesthetics of 1980s rally cars and limited to just 200 pieces worldwide.

The new chronograph arrives with a bold motorsport-inspired appearance, combining contrasting monochromatic tones with vivid accents that echo the dashboard instruments and racing liveries of classic competition vehicles from the era.

Rally-Inspired Dial Design

The dial features a white base combined with a partially textured grey section that adds depth and visual interest to the display. Bright yellow and red details inject a sporting character into the otherwise monochrome layout, reinforcing the connection with classic rally machines. According to Union Glashütte, this colour combination pays tribute to the iconic livery of the legendary Audi Quattro that dominated the now-defunct Group B rally era during the 1980s.

Its tri-compax chronograph arrangement includes black-framed sub-dials highlighted by red accents, while the central chronograph seconds hand receives a red tip for improved legibility. Surrounding the dial is a black tachymeter scale, allowing drivers and enthusiasts to calculate average speeds over a measured distance.

The watch is equipped with black PVD-coated hands filled with Super-LumiNova, ensuring readability in low-light conditions while visually matching the black details found throughout the dial.

Robust 44mm Belisar Case

The Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 comes housed in the collection’s signature stainless steel case measuring 44 mm in diameter and offering water resistance up to 100 metres.

Characteristic screwed side flanks remain a defining feature of the Belisar family, while the large crown and mushroom-shaped pushers underline the chronograph’s sporty intentions and provide easy operation.

Protecting the dial is a domed sapphire crystal that enhances durability while contributing to the watch’s vintage motorsport character.

Three Straps Included

Union Glashütte delivers impressive versatility by including three different wearing options with the watch.

Owners can choose between a yellow textile strap with contrasting white stripes for a sporty summer appearance, a stainless steel bracelet for everyday versatility, or a black leather strap with a yellow interior lining that further reinforces the racing-inspired design.

All three options are equipped with the brand’s quick-change system, allowing tool-free strap changes in just a few seconds.

UNG-27.S1 Automatic Chronograph Movement

Powering the watch is the automatic calibre UNG-27.S1, a movement based on the proven Valjoux 7750 architecture.

The cam-operated chronograph movement incorporates a modern silicon balance spring for improved resistance to magnetism and enhanced long-term precision. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), the calibre provides an extended power reserve of at least 65 hours.

In addition to the central time display and date indication, the movement controls the chronograph functions through a central chronograph seconds hand accompanied by a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour totaliser, delivering the full functionality expected from a classic Valjoux 7750-based chronograph movement.

The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback, revealing its mechanical architecture and finishing.

Availability and Price

The Union Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is limited to only 200 individually numbered examples.

The watch celebrates the 2026 edition of the Silvretta Classic rally, which takes place from 9 to 11 July in Austria’s Montafon region, where approximately 200 historic vehicles will once again tackle the famous Alpine roads.

The new limited edition joins previous Silvretta Classic releases and is available with a retail price of € 3,450.
