Tudor Releases Black Bay Ceramic Inspired By F1 Team
As we had reported here last February, the arrival of a new Tudor Black Bay with a black case and bright blue dial was expected after being spotted on the wrist of Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda from the F1 Visa Cash APP RB team. The question was knowing when and the answer has just arrived with the official announcement of the arrival on the market of the new Tudor Black Bay Ceramic.
The watch arrives in the widest version at 41mm with a black ceramic case accompanied by a hybrid strap in the same hue and a blue dial in the same shades of the motorsport team of which Tudor is a sponsor, with no improvements to be reported.
The watch wears a matte black ceramic case measuring 41mm in diameter and 14.40mm thick, a unidirectional bezel with a 60-minute scale, domed sapphire crystal, a fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature, an open stainless steel case back with a black PVD and the usual 200m of water resistance.
On the vivid blue dial, we find the traditional arrangement with applied hour markers and snowflake hands all with black outlines and filled with Super-LumiNova X1, a white minute track next to the edges that match the brand’s inscriptions at noon and the name of the collection – “Black Bay” followed by “Master Chronometer” at 6 o’clock.
It is through the rear sapphire crystal that we can view its Manufactured MT5602-1U automatic movement, which features a black finish and is COSC certified, presenting resistance to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss, operating at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 70 hours of power reserve.
In addition to the hybrid leather and black rubber strap with blue stitching to which it is attached, the watch also comes with an additional black fabric strap with a blue stripe in the centre, both with steel hardware with black PVD.
The watch has become part of Tudor’s permanent collection and can from today be found in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers for a price of €5,300.
