Trilobe Une Folle Journée Gets A Rhodium-Plated Makeover In Three Striking Colors
The Parisian watch brand Trilobe, founded in 2018 by Gautier Massonneau, has once again redefined contemporary horology with the latest edition of its Une Folle Journée timepiece. Now available in a striking Rhodium-Plated Edition, this avant-garde watch is offered in three captivating colors: black, blue, and green, with the latter making its debut in the collection.
Retaining its signature three-dimensional time display, the Une Folle Journée features three raised stepped rings, each responsible for showcasing hours, minutes, and seconds. The innovative design is now enhanced by rhodium-finished bridges within its patented movement, further amplifying the futuristic aesthetic.
Encased in Grade 5 titanium, the watch measures 40.50mm in diameter, 17.80mm in thickness, and 48mm in length, balancing a polished and satin finish. A domed sapphire crystal with an impressive 10.20mm height adds to its sculptural presence, while the fluted crown at 3 o’clock, engraved with the Trilobe logo, reinforces its distinctive identity. Completing the case structure is an open case back and a water resistance rating of 50 meters.
The openworked dial offers a mesmerizing interplay of depth and motion. Its three suspended titanium rotating rings—supported by nine pillars—feature a satin titanium-aluminum insert in either black, blue, or green. The largest and lowest ring indicates the hours, marked by a red pointer, the middle ring displays the minutes, and the smallest and highest ring tracks the seconds.
Powering this exceptional timepiece is the Calibre X-Centric micro-rotor automatic movement, developed in collaboration with Le Cercle des Horlogers. Comprising 196 components and 33 jewels, it operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (Vph) and delivers an impressive two-day power reserve.
Each Trilobe Une Folle Journée Rhodium-Plated Edition is paired with an alligator leather strap in a matching tone to the dial, secured by a pin buckle. The price for this masterpiece is set at €20,400 plus taxes, reinforcing its exclusivity and appeal to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
