Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Now In Rose Gold With No-Date Sandstone Dial

Parmigiani Fleurier continues to refine its high-end sports watch offering with the introduction of the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph in 18k Rose Gold, now presented with a new Sandstone dial configuration. This addition emphasizes a more minimal and balanced aesthetic, further solidifying the brand’s commitment to technical excellence and refined design.

A Clean Evolution in Design

The most noticeable change in this latest model is the absence of a date complication—a first for the precious-metal entries in the PF Sport Chronograph lineup. Previously, the date window positioned at 4:30 had been a consistent feature across both steel and gold versions. By removing this element, the dial now appears more symmetrical and focused, catering to those who prefer a purist chronograph layout.

Case and Materials

The case remains true to the dimensions that define the Sport sub-line: 42 mm in diameter and 12.90 mm in thickness, crafted entirely from polished and satin-finished 18k rose gold. Parmigiani’s signature knurled bezel, meticulously executed by hand, continues to serve as a distinctive design hallmark.

A textured rubber strap in Tufo beige, designed to resemble Cordura fabric, complements the overall look. While it offers the sporty resilience of rubber, it carries the visual softness and sophistication of textile—underscoring the dual-purpose nature of the watch.

Dial Workmanship

The Clou Triangulaire guilloché pattern returns, offering a rich, tactile texture across the dial surface. This edition combines a silver-toned dial base with Sandstone-colored subdials, creating a warm, sunlit visual effect. As with previous Tonda PF models, the guilloché is produced using traditional methods on a rose engine, affirming Parmigiani’s dedication to artisanal craftsmanship.

High-Performance Movement

Powering the chronograph is the Caliber PF070, a high-frequency automatic movement that operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz). Certified by COSC, the movement features twin barrels for a 65-hour power reserve, a column wheel, and an integrated vertical clutch chronograph mechanism. It also includes a free-sprung balance for enhanced timekeeping stability.

The movement’s finishing includes a skeletonized 22k rose gold rotor, visible through the sapphire caseback, offering a view into the finely decorated architecture within the 7 mm-thick caliber.

A Permanent Addition

This rose gold Sandstone variant is not a limited edition, but rather a permanent addition to the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph range. Its retail price is CHF 49,000.
