Tissot Unveils Heritage 1938 COSC With Stunning White-Blue Dial
The elegant and distinctive Tissot Heritage 1938 COSC is back and this time with a white-blue crush dial.
Launched last year in salmon and classic black-gold variants, it was one of the good surprises brought by the brand in the dress watches category, a modern watch with a retro look, with a certified COSC movement for an attractive price.
The silvery-white dial in an ivory tone combines perfectly with the blue accents, presenting the same arrangement as its siblings, presenting big Arabic numerals, a railroad minute track near the edges, three centre hands and inscriptions with the brand’s vintage lettering at noon and on the opposite side at 6 o’clock “Chronometer”.
On the outside, it features a round stainless steel case with brushed surfaces, a smooth polished bezel, sapphire glass, an onion-shaped crown embossed with the brand’s “T” signature, a polished open case back and 50m water resistance.
Inside we find the automatic ETA 2824-2 movement, which, as advertised on the dial, is Chronometer-certified, presenting an accuracy of -4 to +6 seconds per day, running 28,800 Vph and offering up to 38 hours of power reserve.
In addition to the blue wrinkled leather strap to which the watch is attached, it also comes with an additional Mesh steel bracelet that, like the strap, benefits from quick-release spring bars.
The watch is now available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers for €895.
Our Opinion
Of the three we risk saying that this one has become our favourite, even though we have to confirm whether the dial comes in the ivory tone as the photos seem to reveal and if so, the combination looks amazing.
Of the three, it is undoubtedly the most discreet and least pretentious, which we would say is the ideal watch for a true gentleman.
A last word on the case size, which in our opinion, without compromising its value, remains large for more moderate wrists and that is why a 34 to 36mm version could attract a larger audience.
