Tissot Expands the PRX Collection and Adds A Blue Light Powermatic 80
It’s official, there’s a new Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 T137.407.11.351.00 with a light blue dial, which is unlikely to escape the connection of “Blue Tiffany” and which is also unlikely to not become one of the most sought after by the public.
The new Tissot PRX, which in fact adds little more than a new variant to the collection, anticipates the arrival of spring by introducing a refreshing air through its dial in pastel light blue tones that should be a winning bet in the coming seasons of the year.
As happened at the end of last year when the PRX T137.410.11.091.01 was launched with a light green dial also in pastel tones, which in my personal opinion continues to be perhaps the most beautiful of the entire collection, the brand opted for free non-dissemination, leaving this task to the social networks, since the public in these situations is the best friend.
The new Tissot PRX is presented outside in a stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and 10.9mm thick with a brushed finish extending to the integrated bracelet. Sapphire glass on the front and on the case back and crown with the brand’s signature at 3 o’clock.
The blue dial comes with the traditional (PRX Powermatic 80) Tapisserie pattern, applied silver hour markers and hands all filled with luminescent material and a date-framed window at 3 o’clock.
Inside, the reliable Caliber PM80 operates based on the ETA C07.111 automatic movement, which runs at 21,600 Vph and offers, as its name implies, 80 hours of power reserve.
The watch is available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers with prices starting at €745. Despite already being available in most northern countries, remains unavailable in Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland and Portugal, as well as happens with Australia and China. Hopefully, soon it will be available worldwide.

More PRX Novelties
With the new PRX Powermatic 80 Blue Light, also arrive two new PRX Powermatic 80s, one with a black dial and the other with a blue dial, both offered with a black rubber strap. Still, in the field of mechanical movements, there is the new PRX Chrono which now comes with a blue “Panda” dial.
Finally, there are three new additions to the PRX quartz 40mm, one with a black dial and the other with a blue dial and both with a black rubber strap and another one with a white full luminescent dial that comes with a white rubber strap. The prices of all of them are in line with the remaining existing variants.
Our Opinion
It’s hard not to like the new PRX blue light, especially when, as above mentioned, we are moving quickly towards the warmer seasons of the year, inviting more cheerful colours and rolling up the sleeves.
Despite probably still being one of the few to resist buying a Tissot PRX, hoping for the arrival of the PRX Powermatic 35mm, I must confess the task is getting more and more difficult. Now I am struggling with a new doubt between choosing the PRX with a stunning green light dial or the new PRX Powermatic with a beautiful blue light dial. Let me ask you, what do you think and which one would you choose?
