Timex Updates The Deepwater Reef Titanium 200 With A New Look
Timex continues its journey in the modern dive watch category with a new version of the Deepwater Reef Titanium 200, a model positioned at the top of the brand’s main dive watch line.. First introduced in late 2024, the Deepwater Reef 200 marked a significant step for Timex by combining a lightweight titanium case, an automatic movement, and professional dive specifications at an accessible price point.

The latest iteration retains the same technical foundation while introducing a new visual identity that sets it apart from the original release.
Titanium case and dive-ready construction
The Deepwater Reef Titanium 200 features a Grade 2 titanium case measuring 41 mm in diameter and 13 mm in thickness. This size places it firmly within traditional dive watch proportions, while the use of titanium keeps overall weight low and improves long-term wearing comfort.

A screw-down crown and screw-down caseback contribute to a water-resistance rating of 200 meters, suitable for recreational diving and everyday use around water. The watch is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating, ensuring durability and legibility. A cyclops magnifier positioned at 3 o’clock enhances the readability of the date display.
Automatic movement
Powering the watch is the Miyota Caliber 8215, a Japan-made automatic movement widely used for its reliability and ease of service. The movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides an approximate power reserve of 40 hours. While technically simple, it aligns well with the tool-watch positioning of the Deepwater Reef 200.
Dial layout and luminous elements
The new version introduces a bright orange dial, expanding the collection beyond the original black option. The dial layout remains unchanged, featuring large applied hour markers designed as solid blocks filled with Super-LumiNova. This construction allows for strong and even low-light visibility.

To complement the new dial color, the hands are finished in black for increased contrast, while the hour markers are rendered in white. The date window now displays white numbers on a black background. This is not a unanimous decision, as we believe a white background would work well in combination with hour markers.
Luminous bezel and strap
The unidirectional dive bezel remains fully luminescent, a defining feature of the Deepwater Reef 200. On this version, the bezel insert is black with white markings, enhancing contrast and clarity. A red triangle at the 12 o’clock position serves as the primary timing reference. The bezel features a circular brushed finish, reinforcing the tool-watch aesthetic.

The watch is delivered on a black rubber strap equipped with a quick-release system for easy changes. The keeperless strap design ensures a clean fit on the wrist and reinforces the watch’s functional focus.
Positioning, pricing, and availability
Within Timex’s catalog, the Deepwater Reef Titanium 200 represents the brand’s most advanced standard-production dive watch, sitting just below the Marine M1a from the premium Timex Atelier line.

The new version with an orange dial is priced at € 549, which remains a very competitive price, although it has been rising since its launch in 2024.
