Timex Brings Back The E-Line With Stunning Light Blue And Gold Dials
The return of the iconic Timex E-line from the 1980s has created a stir among watch enthusiasts, particularly with the revival model featuring a champagne silver dial. This initial release sold out swiftly, underscoring the appeal of its vintage-inspired design. Now, Timex has expanded the collection with two additional variants: a light blue dial and a gold dial paired with a matching gold-tone case.
The watches feature a distinctive TV-shaped stainless steel case, measuring 34mm wide, 12mm thick, and 40mm long, perfectly blending retro aesthetics with modern wearability. The brushed surfaces and polished elements, including the bezel, bevels, crown, and case back, add a touch of refinement. The design is completed with a boxed acrylic crystal, a fluted crown at 3 o’clock, a solid case back, and 50-meter water resistance, ensuring durability and everyday practicality.
The dial design is classic yet striking. It includes applied hour markers, with a double marker at noon, and a trapezoid date window next to the crown. Other details include three centre hands, a printed black minute track, and inscriptions for “Automatic” at the top and “Water Resistance” at the bottom. The new light blue variant features a smooth dial finish, while the gold and silver options come with brushed finishes, enhancing their elegant, retro-inspired appeal.
Powering these watches is the reliable Miyota 8215 automatic movement. With 21 jewels, a frequency of 21,600 Vph, and a power reserve of up to 42 hours, this Japanese movement ensures dependable timekeeping and performance.
Completing the look is a retro-inspired stretchable expansion blade-style steel bracelet. The silver-dial variant is priced at €219, while the light blue and gold versions are slightly higher at €229, offering excellent value for their stylish design and robust build.
Rediscovering the Timex E-line is a nod to timeless design, seamlessly blending nostalgia with modern functionality, making these watches a must-have for enthusiasts of retro timepieces.
