Timex And Worn & Wound Present A New Chapter Of Last Year’s WW75
Last year we saw Worn & Wound team up with Timex to launch two limited edition watches inspired by the 70s that quickly sold out, and now a year later they are coming together again to give life to a new sequel.
The two new limited editions now arrive with new colours on the dial, brushed case with polished bevels, steel bracelet and mechanical movement.
On the outside, they once again wear the barrel-shaped case that was very popular in the 70s, which now adds polished bevels to the brushed finish, giving it better contrast, presenting exactly the same moderate dimensions as the two previous editions with a diameter of 37mm, 12.70mm. thick and 43mm lug-to-lug distance. Domed acrylic glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock, solid back case secured with four screws that come with the brand’s signature, and lastly, 50m water resistance.
On the dial, the same configuration as before, in the textured centre a waffle pattern with three central hands, small Arabic numerals and applied hour markers. We can also find a minute track chapter ring in a different tone that serves as the basis for the indexes.
As for the variants, we have the WW75 V2 Blue, which comes with a light blue dial in the centre and a dark blue peripheral ring matching the hour and minute hands, a white seconds hand with a teal tip and whose tone also extends to the minute track, and finally blue hour markers on the cardinal points and pink on the rest. In the WW75 V2 Pink version, we have a dial in the centre in a faded pink tone that contrasts with the white chapter ring, teal minute track as well as the hour and minute hands, a white centre seconds hand with a dark red tip matching the hour markers at 3-6-9-12 o’clock which on the others come in white.
The other big news already revealed above is the new 20-jewel Sea-gull TY6 manual wound that replaces the previous Quartz movement and will certainly delight the most purists.
The watch comes attached to a mesh steel bracelet, with each variant limited to 500 units, which can now be purchased for the friendly price of €222.95.
