Back in April, Timex revisited one of its standout designs from the 1990s with the Intrepid Reissue — a bold 46mm cushion-cased watch that quickly sold out. Now, Timex returns with a refined follow-up: the Intrepid x Dimepiece Edition, a collaboration that brings the same vintage charm in a more compact and versatile format.

Developed with Brynn Walner of Dimepiece and Alan Bedwell of Foundwell, this edition stays true to the spirit of the original while introducing thoughtful updates in size, color, and functionality.

A Smaller, More Wearable Case

One of the most notable updates in the Dimepiece Edition is the reduction in case size from 46 mm to 36 mm, making it significantly more wearable for a wider range of wrists. The cushion-shaped stainless steel case remains true to the original’s bold aesthetic but benefits from a more refined and versatile scale.

Design Details That Stand Out

The INDIGLO backlight is still a key feature of the watch, activated via a purple pusher at 9 o’clock, which adds a subtle yet unique pop of color. This purple accent is echoed in the 12 o’clock hour marker and the seconds hand, offering a cohesive design element that adds character without overwhelming the dial.

Instead of the original slide rule bezel, the Dimepiece Edition opts for a 60-minute count-up bezel, aligning with the watch’s more minimalist, streamlined approach. The cream dial retains a vintage feel, pairing well with both casual and more polished outfits.

The Timex Intrepid x Dimepiece Edition maintains 100 meters of water resistance, offering solid durability and versatility for everyday wear. With quartz movement powering the watch, it remains low-maintenance and dependable.
