The Summer Of Blue Moons: MoonSwatch’s Newest Edition
MoonSwatch promises to become a saga with no end in sight, as despite the natural cooling of public enthusiasm the brand seems tireless in trying to exhaust the range of available colours supported by content where the sky is the limit, therefore, we recommend a great deal of patience to follow this endeavour.
With that out of the way, let’s get to the point, the new MoonSwatch called Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase, according to the brand, is a tribute to summer and inspired by the blue moon of August 19, 2024.
In short, for the most adventurous, the watch arrives with two “big news”, the first and most obvious is the absence of the double Snoopy on the moon phase indicator, which is replaced by two obvious blue moons and the second is the new Pulsometer bezel that replaces the previous Tachymeter, and we’re done.
The silver opaline dial with blue registers follows the layout of the last two “Snoopy MoonSwatch” editions although the character has been banned.
The case in shades of blue comes with the same previous shape and dimensions with a Pulsometer bezel which, despite not being so common throughout the Speedmasters history, is not unprecedented, namely in the reference CK 2998. The rear case follows the formula of the dial where the Snoopy’s previous footprint that covered the battery no longer exists and is now once again replaced by a blue moon.
Inside and like its siblings, it is powered by an ETA Quartz movement.
The watch arrives on August 1st and will be available for 19 days until the day of the Blue Moon, as usual it will be available in only selected stores and only in the period from 5 o’clock onwards, the “blue hour” period, we dare say that this is the third novelty (no comments) which can be purchased for €315 and following the policy of one per person per day.
