The Rubik’s x G-Shock Limited Edition
For everyone who lived in the 80s, you can hardly have forgotten the iconic “Magic Cube”, a cube with six faces, covered by nine stickers, each with six colours: white, red, blue, orange, green and yellow.
Created in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernõ Rubik, it quickly gained fans around the world, becoming the best-selling puzzle of all time with more than 450 million units sold to date. Over the years it has known different names, and today the name associated with its creator, the Rubik’s Cube, prevails.
On February 9th 2022, a limited edition of the best-selling Casio G-Shock GA-2100 will be released, inspired by the famous Rubik’s Cube, called “Rubik’s x G-Shock”, which in addition to featuring a dial inspired by the different coloured faces of the Rubik’s Cube, come with two interchangeable bezels, one in white and one in black, and tool to help with transposition.
In addition to the yellow, blue and red coloured dial, the watch also has the ‘Rubik’s’ signature turned in white on the lower strap, as well as a green loop and red hardware on the top strap. Finally, the case back also comes with the “Rubik’s” logo.
The new GAE-2100RC-1AER is a UK-exclusive release and will be available from the online store www.g-shock.co.uk and the G-Shock Flagship Store in London on Carnaby Street, as well as selected retailers, for the price of £139.
