The Return of the Omega Speedmaster ’57
First introduced in 2013, the Omega Speedmaster ’57 now returns with eight stainless steel models, now boasting a slimmer profile thanks to the manual movement it now features.
The new Omega Speedmaster ’57 comes in a 40.5mm diameter by 12.99mm thick case, brushed bezel with tachymeter scale, box-form sapphire crystal, open-through case back and 50m of water resistance.
It is on the dial that we can identify four variants, one with a black sandwich dial, formed by two plates, with the first one filled with “vintage” Super-LumiNova and the second with openwork hour markers. And three other variants with applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova, in three shades: varnished burgundy, and sun-brushed dials in green PVD or blue PVD. All models also feature diamond polished rhodium-plated hands, a 60 minute and 12 hours counter at 3 o’clock, small seconds at 9 o’clock and a date window at 6 o’clock.
Inside operates the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 9906 which offers up to 60 hours of power reserve and is METAS certified.
All models are offered with a stainless steel bracelet inspired by the Apollo 11 tribute launched in 2019 or a leather strap matching the dial.
