The Norqain Adventure Chrono 41mm NHL, The Brand’s First Official NHL Watch

Norqain introduces the Adventure Chrono 41mm NHL Limited Edition as the first watch developed under its new partnership with the National Hockey League. The collaboration grants Norqain official licensing rights to use NHL branding and references all 32 teams, positioning this model as the opening release in what may become a broader series of hockey-inspired timepieces.

Case and Construction

The watch is based on Norqain’s Adventure Chrono platform and features a 41 mm stainless steel case with a fully brushed finish. Built for active use, it is equipped with a screw-down crown, a unidirectional rotating bezel, and water resistance rated to 100 metres. A red accent detail integrated into the crown adds a subtle nod to the NHL colour palette.

Dial Design and Legibility

The white dial is distinguished by a textured surface inspired by the appearance of ice after a game. At 9 o’clock, the small seconds sub-dial is designed as a hockey face-off circle, incorporating a rotating disc shaped like crossed sticks. The chronograph counters at 12 and 6 o’clock are finished in black to provide contrast, with the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock featuring a light grey NHL logo. A day-date display is positioned at 3 o’clock beneath the Norqain logo.

A pulsometer scale surrounds the dial, highlighted by a red “TIMEOUT” inscription at the 200 mark. Applied hour markers and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova to ensure readability in low-light conditions.

Movement

Inside the case is the Norqain Calibre N17, an automatic chronograph movement based on the Sellita SW500. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a power reserve of approximately 62 hours. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement and its customised Norqain rotor. The caseback is engraved with “Limited Edition – One of 1917,” referencing the founding year of the NHL.

Strap Options and Presentation

The Adventure Chrono 41 mm NHL Limited Edition is available with a black rubber strap that incorporates material from an authentic hockey puck, or alternatively on a stainless steel bracelet. The watch is presented in a dedicated box featuring a white insert styled to resemble an ice rink and includes a genuine NHL puck.

Availability and Price

Limited to 1,917 pieces, the Norqain Adventure Chrono 41mm NHL Limited Edition is available through Norqain boutiques, authorised retailers, and the brand’s online platform. Pricing is set at € 4,750 on the rubber strap and € 4,950 on the stainless steel bracelet.
