Bell & Ross BR-05 collection continues to evolve with the introduction of a more compact and refined model: the 36 mm Blue Diamond Eagle. Building on the design language established in 2019, this latest release blends the brand’s signature instrument-inspired aesthetic with a more delicate execution and elevated dial craftsmanship.

A Reworked 36mm Case

Rather than simply reducing the size of the original 40mm model, Bell & Ross has re-engineered the case to suit its new proportions. Measuring 36 mm in diameter and just 8.70 mm in thickness, the watch offers a slimmer and more versatile profile that aligns with current preferences for smaller, unisex timepieces.

The case retains the BR-05’s distinctive “circle within a square” architecture, featuring softened corners and a raised bezel secured by four polished screws. Alternating brushed and polished surfaces enhance the overall finish, while maintaining a sporty yet refined appearance.

A key element of the design remains the seamless integration of the bracelet into the case, where the first link forms part of the mid-case, creating a continuous flow from case to bracelet. The stainless steel bracelet follows the same brushed and polished treatment and is secured with a folding clasp. Functionality is also preserved, with crown guards protecting the screw-down crown and ensuring water resistance up to 100 meters.

Aventurine Dial with Diamond Constellation

The highlight of this model is undoubtedly its dial. Crafted from blue aventurine glass, it displays a deep, shimmering surface punctuated by tiny inclusions that evoke a star-filled night sky.

Enhancing this celestial theme are diamond hour markers, complemented by a more intricate detail: seven brilliant-cut diamonds arranged to depict the Aquila (Eagle) constellation. The composition is carefully designed, with a larger diamond positioned between 10 and 11 o’clock representing Altair, the brightest star in the constellation. Three medium-sized diamonds are used to illustrate the wings and tail, while three smaller stones complete the outline, giving a sense of depth and realism to the pattern.

All stones are mounted in a custom brass setting with four prongs and inserted into precisely drilled openings in the aventurine dial, ensuring both stability and a clean visual integration.

Slim Automatic Movement

Inside the case, the watch is powered by the BR-CAL.329 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW300 architecture. Measuring only 3.6mm in height, it contributes to the watch’s overall slim profile while delivering reliable performance. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 54 hours, making it well-suited for daily wear.

The movement is concealed behind a closed caseback, which features a laser-engraved representation of the Aquila constellation, echoing the dial design and reinforcing the watch’s celestial theme.

A Refined Take on the BR-05

With the 36mm Blue Diamond Eagle, Bell & Ross expands the BR-05 line into a more compact and expressive territory. The combination of a re-proportioned case, integrated bracelet design, and a highly decorative aventurine dial with diamond detailing results in a piece that balances sportiness with a more jewelry-oriented aesthetic.

The watch is priced at € 4,900, positioning it as an accessible entry into the world of diamond-set luxury sports watches while maintaining the distinctive design language of the BR-05 collection.
