The association of watches with military forces is neither a novelty nor a relatively recent phenomenon, it is an association with some decades that has been consolidating from time to time, according to the needs of these organizations and it is easy to see why, time is a crucial factor in the course of operations, in the use for navigation, in location systems, among many others.
Brands such as Rolex, Tudor, Blancpain, Panerai, Yema, IWC, Marathon, Fortis, Oris, among many others, have been collaborating in this regard with these organizations by developing watches that fit their missions and that are robust and accurate over time. The whole process regarding these partnerships may at first seem simple, but the reality is far from that, normally these watches have to obey a set of specifications and tests defined by these organizations so that they can be approved and subsequently used by its members, which can be a long process consisting of advances and setbacks until the watch can begin to be produced and reach the market.
Marine Nationale (French Navy) is one of those military organizations with older links to several watch brands, over the years it has been associated with brands like Panerai, Blancpain and Tudor (there are rumors of possible new cooperation with Tudor) and now his first collaboration with Yema, the French brand that is not a newcomer to this type of collaboration, has been maintaining collaboration with the French Air Force since the 1970s, which has culminated until today with its Superman model.
Thus, was born the new Yema Navygraf Marine Nationale, which is proud to display the symbol of that organization consisting of an anchor titled with its name and in the background the inscription “Depuis 1626” referring to the year when it was founded in white color at 6 o’clock.
