The New Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Automatic 36.5
Vacheron Constantin’s Patrimony line, launched in 2004, based on its historic 1957 model with classic lines, now has four new models in a reduced size.
The new variants that come with an automatic movement and a 36.5mm diameter case join the other two previous models with whom they share the same case size and movement, albeit with some changes.
Among the new models are two that feature an 18k white gold case with a deep blue dial, and two that come with an 18k rose gold 5N case with a blush pink dial, all four of which feature a gradient dial whose hues accentuate the centre to the periphery. Each version has a model with a bezel set with 72 diamonds and another with a minute scale of 48 diamonds on the dial.
As we have already mentioned, the new 36.5 mm models have some new features, on the case, the lugs go back to their original configuration, thinner and a little longer, the crown increases in diameter but reduce the thickness, although now it adds a rounded edge and the case thickness is also significantly reduced from 9.15mm to 8.45mm.
There are still two changes to note, but on the dial, the trapezoid-shaped date window returns to the square shape as on the 36mm models, and the central second hand comes with a longer counterweight.
The watches come with an alligator leather strap matching the dial that now features an easy change system.
Everything else remains, namely the applied hour markers and leaf hands in gold just like the case, and inside they continue to keep the 196-piece Caliber 2450 Q6/3 automatic movement, which runs at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 40 hours of power reserve, all of this can be seen through the sapphire case back, highlighted by the 22k skeletonized oscillating weight in the shape of a Maltese Cross.
The watches can be purchased from official boutiques and authorized retailers, with prices starting at €29,500 and €37,500 for versions with diamonds on the dial or on the bezel respectively.
