The New Tudor Pelagos “Alinghi Red Bull Racing” Arrive in Carbon and With a Chronograph Variant

Two new Tudor Pélagos FXD have just arrived, which for the first time come in a carbon composite case and now include a chronograph variant.

The new watches serve to mark the partnership established at the beginning of last year between Tudor and “Alinghi Red Bull Racing” within the competitive world of sailboat racing.

The new diving watches share the same case made of black carbon composite and which also combines Titanium and stainless steel, the same materials used in the racing sailboat Hydrafall AC75 (America’s CUP 75).

So we have a variant that only offers the time function and comes with a 42mm diameter case with reference 25707KN and a 43mm version that combines the time and date functions with a chronograph complication with reference 25807KN.

On the outside, the carbon composite of the cases also extends to the black bezel insert that comes with a 60-minute scale illuminated by the Super-LumiNova X1 inserted in it. The bidirectional 120-click bezel, as well as the crown, and the two pushers of the chronograph version, are made of Titanium, while the screw-in case back is in stainless steel engraved with “Alinghi Red Bull Racing”.

The dials of the two Divers have a matte blue colouration, the same as we can find on the “Team Blue” and on the hull of the AC75. Ceramic-composite applied hour markers that, together with the snowflake hands, are filled with luminescent material, a red centre seconds hand matching the red inscription of the watch’s model name at 6 o’clock and a minute chapter ring with the inscription of “Alinghi Red Bull Racing” between 10 and 2 o’clock

Inside are the manufacturer Caliber MT5602 and the MT5813 based on the manufacturer Caliber Breitling 01 that power the 42 and 43mm watches respectively, both being COSC certified, boasting an accuracy of -2/+ 4 seconds per day and offering up to 70 hours of power reserve.

The new Pelagos are attached to a blue fabric strap with red accents and a velcro closure system.

The watches are already available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers with prices ranging from €3,650 for the simplified time version to €5,070 for the chronograph version.
