The New Hublot Big Bang Unico Nespresso Is Sustainable Green
There is a new Hublot Big Bang Unico that has just arrived and if you are a true supporter of sustainable solutions stay there because you will like the story of this new timepiece.
Thus is born the new Big Bang Unico Nespresso of an unlikely (or not) collaboration, many will question the connection between the two brands, and we have the answer, the sharing of values such as sustainability. On the one hand, we have Hublot that since its (still short) existence is dedicated to the research and development of sustainable materials to produce their timepieces, and on the other we have Nespresso that since 1991 has been replaced by the development of a process that allows separating the Aluminum of coffee grounds so that each component can be repurposed.
The new Unique Big Bang thus wears a 42mm case by 14.5mm made 28% of Nespresso capsule aluminium, and the same formula is replicated to the crown, bezel and pushers, and all are anodized with a vibrant green that comes with a satin and polished finish. At the same time, the rear case and container are made of recycled titanium also known as Eco-Titanium. It is also highlighted the fact that the crown comes engraved with the logo of the well-known coffee brand that gives it the name of the watch.
Also, the green rubber strap is also built based on recycled material, incorporating 4.1% of coffee grounds and 8.2% of recycled white rubber. The watch also comes with an extra strap made of 5% coffee grounds and 95% recycled polyester.
The Green Skeletonized Dial features applied hour markers and Arabic numerals filled with luminescent material, as with the two central pencil hands, a centre chronograph seconds hand, a 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock that also incorporates a date window and yet a running seconds at 9 o’clock.
Inside and in its heart runs the 354-component automatic movement HUB1280, which hits 28,800 Vph and offers up to 72 hours of power reserve.
This is a limited edition of 200 pieces that will be available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers that come in special packaging and can be purchased at the price of € 25,200.
