The new AP Royal Oak 15202 in Green
Let’s go today for a quick review from one AP novelty.
Audemars Piguet launched this week a new Royal Oak 15202 this time in emerald green and if doubts exist from the bet on green dials by the watch brands, these three first months of 2021 have confirmed it. This new 15202PT comes with a sunburst green clean dial instead of the usual tapisserie dial and it looks phenomenal gorgeous. I really like the 15202 in blue but this one is something special.
Besides the price be more than € 100,000 it’s not a limited edition as the value could at first view suggest, it’s full platinum 39 mm case and integrated bracelet are the main reason for the high price charged.
On the sunburst green dial, applied hour indexes and central hands all in white gold filled with luminescence, no second hands and that is another feature that I really appreciate on the RO 15202, its simplicity, date window in black at 3 o’clock, applied AP logo at 6 o’clock and the full brand name at 12 o’clock followed by “Automatic”, all printed on the dial.
Inside operates the In-house Caliber 2121 with a 22k gold rotor that is possible to be observed working through its open case back and offers up to 40 hours of power reserve.
Final considerations, it’s not much more to be said about this beautiful timepiece, for sure is a winning addition to the collection and I’m excited to see it on my hands soon.
