The New Angelus x Massena LAB Chronographe Télémètre: A Golden Tribute To Vintage Chronographs
Angelus and Massena LAB continue their partnership with a new interpretation of the Chronographe Télémètre, now presented in a refined yellow gold case paired with a deep black dial. This release builds on the design language established by the duo’s previous collaboration, merging Angelus’ watchmaking heritage with Massena LAB’s appreciation for classical aesthetics.

A Case Rooted in Vintage Proportions
The Chronographe Télémètre x Massena LAB features a compact 37 mm case crafted in 18k 3N yellow gold, maintaining faithful mid-century chronograph proportions. At just 9.25 mm thick, the watch offers a refined profile that sits comfortably on the wrist. The polished bezel enhances the openness of the dial, while sharply faceted lugs add a touch of definition to the classic silhouette.

True to the spirit of traditional chronographs, this model incorporates a single pusher integrated coaxially with the crown—controlling start, stop, and reset functions without disrupting the clean design. The watch is fitted with box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a sapphire caseback, offering a clear view of the hand-wound movement. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters.
A Black Dial with Refined Depth
The domed black dial brings a distinctive character to this edition, emphasizing Massena LAB’s penchant for rich, contrasting tones. Its grained center subtly reduces glare, surrounded by a satin-finished rehaut engraved with a 20-kilometer telemeter scale—a nod to vintage chronograph functionality. A finely executed diamond-cut step separates this scale from the railway minute track, enhancing visual structure and legibility.

Two recessed sub-dials—running seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock—maintain a balanced symmetry. Applied gold Arabic numerals and baton hour markers complement the syringe-shaped hands, which are filled with Super-LumiNova for readability in low light.
The A5000 Calibre: A Legacy of Fine Mechanics
At the heart of the Chronographe Télémètre x Massena LAB is the Calibre A5000, a hand-wound monopusher chronograph developed and produced within the La Joux-Perret manufacture.

The calibre operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers a 42-hour power reserve. Its construction features a column wheel and horizontal coupling via oscillating pinion, ensuring precise and tactile chronograph operation. The finishing is exemplary: gold-toned bridges with Geneva stripes, hand-chamfered edges, circular-grained mainplate, palladium-coated chronograph components, and polished steel screws—all reflecting the traditional craftsmanship Angelus is known for.
Exclusivity and Presentation
The watch is paired with a black Saffiano calfskin strap, secured by an 18k yellow gold pin buckle. Limited to only 10 pieces worldwide, the Angelus x Massena LAB Chronographe Télémètre in Yellow Gold represents an exclusive blend of horological history and contemporary refinement.

While the price is available upon request, it is expected to align with previous gold editions, which were priced around CHF 32,300.
