The IWC Pilot’s Chronograph TOP GUN Mojave Desert Now Arrives In 41MM
After the three large versions of the ‘Mojave Desert’ in the IWC TOP GUN collection, including the Chronograph LE in 44mm (2019) and the Perpetual Calendar in 46mm (2021), the brand is now releasing a new ‘Mojave Desert’ chronograph in a moderate size of 41mm, which will certainly make all those with small wrists who dreamed of wearing one of these ‘Mojave’ happy.
The new timepiece, like its peers, arrives in a sand tone ceramic case that measures 41.90 mm – C’mom guys, I know this sounds more like a 42 but let’s see, it fits much better than the previous 44 and 46mm. Everything else remains unchanged, featuring a sapphire front glass, crown and two pushers in titanium whose material also extends to the screwed case back, and 100m of water resistance.
The dial presented here in shades of brown follows the usual configuration, featuring three counters at 6-9-12 o’clock and a double day-date window at 3 o’clock. Arabic hour markers which, like the hands, are filled with Super-LumiNova in khaki beige tones.
Inside there is nothing new either, operating the manufactured Caliber 69380 automatic movement with 242 components, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 46 hours of power reserve.
Finally, the chronograph comes attached to the usual rubber strap with a textured inlay in sand tones, which is now available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers for a price of €13,000.
