The Frog Prince Returns: Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable
Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin collaboration returns with two new versions of the Unfrogettable, bringing a fresh colour palette to one of the most unconventional watches created by the partnership. Following the original green and purple editions introduced in 2025, the new references arrive in Turquoise and Brown, each limited to 178 pieces.

The concept remains rooted in the fairy tale of The Frog Prince, while the watch itself continues to combine Konstantin Chaykin’s playful character design with Louis Erard’s regulator-style display. Beneath its unmistakably frog-inspired appearance sits a titanium case, an automatic movement and a highly unusual dial construction that turns the hours and seconds into the frog’s eyes.
A Frog-Shaped Regulator
The 40 mm case is produced from Grade 5 titanium and measures 12.45 mm in thickness. Its proportions remain unchanged from the first Unfrogettable editions, while the material keeps the relatively complex construction light on the wrist.
The dial is where the concept becomes immediately recognisable. Its textured surface is deliberately reminiscent of frog skin, while the two subdials positioned on either side of the upper half of the watch represent the character’s eyes.

This arrangement also serves a practical horological purpose. The left-hand subdial indicates the hours, while the right-hand subdial displays the seconds. The central hand is dedicated to the minutes, creating a regulator-style layout in which the different units of time are separated across the dial.
Just below the two subdials are the frog’s nostrils, adding another layer to the design without compromising the underlying functionality of the display.
At 12 o’clock, the crown takes the form of a small crown rather than a conventional watch crown. It is positioned away from the side of the case, allowing the unusual shape to become part of the overall character while also keeping it away from the wrist.
Two New Colourways
The main distinction between the new Unfrogettable references is their colour treatment.
The Turquoise version combines several shades across its dial. The hour ring contrasts dark turquoise with purple, while the two-tone minute ring transitions from a deep blue-green towards violet. The central lower section retains a lighter turquoise tone and the characteristic grained texture.

Rhodium-treated hands and discs provide contrast against the colourful background, while green Super-LumiNova is applied to selected elements. The tip of the central minute hand is also luminescent, extending the readability of the unusual display into low-light conditions.
The Brown edition takes the concept in a considerably warmer direction. Dark brown and ochre dominate the hour ring, complemented by 5N-plated discs and hands. The combination gives the watch a more restrained and almost vintage-inspired appearance compared with the brighter Turquoise version.
Despite their different personalities, both references retain the same distinctive frog-face architecture and regulator display.
A Rotated Automatic Movement
Powering the Unfrogettable is the Sellita SW266-1 automatic movement, configured specifically around the watch’s unconventional layout.
The movement has been rotated by 90 degrees to accommodate the crown positioned at 12 o’clock. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and contains 31 jewels, with approximately 38 hours of power reserve.

The movement architecture is particularly important here because the regulator display is not simply a visual exercise. The hours, minutes and seconds are physically separated across the dial, requiring the movement to support the unusual positioning of the indications.
Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the openworked rotor is visible with Louis Erard’s black-lacquered emblem. Each watch also features the individual limited-edition marking, including the “1 OF 178” designation.
Water resistance is rated at 50 metres.
Japanese Urushi-Lacquered Leather
The straps continue the collaboration’s attention to unusual materials and finishing.

Both watches are fitted with black Himeji Kurozan leather straps, produced using traditional Japanese techniques. The leather comes from a historic Japanese tannery and is hand-rubbed before being finished with Urushi lacquer.
The straps are fitted with colour-matched details corresponding to each dial and use quick-release spring bars, allowing them to be removed without specialised tools. A titanium pin buckle completes the configuration.
