Gerald Charles expands its integrated bracelet lineup with the Masterlink Boutique Edition, a limited-production model available exclusively through the brand’s boutiques. This edition introduces a darker aesthetic to the Masterlink collection first presented in 2024, combining the brand’s recognizable asymmetrical design with a stealth-inspired finish and a refined integrated bracelet architecture.
Darkblast Stainless Steel Case
The watch is housed in a 38 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 7.99 mm, giving it a relatively slim profile that pairs well with the integrated bracelet design and helps maintain a balanced presence on the wrist.
Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case features the brand’s proprietary Darkblast finish, a treatment that produces a deep matte surface similar to bead-blasting but with a noticeably darker tone. This finish highlights the architectural lines of the case while contributing to the watch’s contemporary appearance.
Positioned at 3 o’clock, the screw-down crown is decorated with a Clous de Paris texture, adding a refined detail that contrasts with the otherwise understated finish of the case.
Layered Black Dial with Vertical Architecture
The dial is constructed using two separate layers, beginning with a solid base and topped with vertically arranged bars that extend across its length.
Finished in black with a sunray treatment, the dial emphasizes the vertical structure while maintaining a clean and elegant appearance. Around the perimeter runs a white minute track, while rhodium-plated baton hour markers mark the hours. The time is indicated by baton-shaped hands equipped with Super-LumiNova inserts, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions while preserving the watch’s minimalist aesthetic.
In-House Micro-Rotor Movement
Powering the Masterlink Boutique Edition is the In-house automatic calibre GCA1000, a movement developed with a focus on slimness and efficiency. The movement incorporates a micro-rotor winding system, which helps maintain a thin profile while ensuring reliable automatic winding.
The calibre measures only 2.67mm in thickness and is equipped with 29 jewels, delivering a power reserve of approximately 50 hours when fully wound. The micro-rotor itself is decorated with a distinctive honeycomb pattern, adding a visual signature to the movement.
Asymmetrical Integrated Bracelet
Completing the watch is a 316L stainless steel integrated bracelet that features the same Darkblast finish as the case, creating a cohesive overall design.
The bracelet stands out due to its asymmetrical construction, which mirrors the distinctive shape of the case and lugs. One side of the bracelet features flat links, while the other uses curved links, a design choice that reinforces the architectural concept of the Masterlink collection.
It is offered in three different sizes and incorporates a micro-link adjustment system, allowing for more precise fitting on the wrist. The bracelet is secured by a folding clasp engraved with the “GC” logo.
