Timex And Todd Snyder Reunite For New Marlin Mesh Collection
The long-running partnership between Timex and New York menswear designer Todd Snyder continues with the introduction of the new Timex x Todd Snyder Marlin Mesh, a trio of vintage-inspired watches that combine the timeless design of the original Marlin with fresh dial colours and a practical stainless steel Milanese bracelet.
A Familiar Vintage Formula
Faithful to the proportions that helped revive interest in smaller dress watches, the new Marlin Mesh retains the polished stainless steel case measuring 34 mm in diameter, topped by a domed acrylic crystal that enhances its mid-century aesthetic.
One of the biggest updates comes in the form of the stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelet, whose woven construction offers a lightweight, flexible fit while reinforcing the collection’s retro appeal. The bracelet is equipped with quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes and a sliding clasp for simple sizing adjustments.
Three Distinctive Dial Options
The collection is offered with three sunburst dial colours: silver, sky blue, and pink.
Regardless of colour, each dial features applied metallic hour markers with Roman numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, complemented by baton indexes for the remaining hours. A classic railroad minute track frames the dial, while polished hands complete the elegant look. Todd Snyder’s signature “TS” logo appears discreetly above the 6 o’clock position, highlighting the collaboration without overwhelming the clean design.
Turning the watch over reveals a snap-on stainless steel caseback engraved with “Timex x Todd Snyder”, reinforcing its collaborative identity.
Quartz Movement For Everyday Convenience
Unlike the original Marlin reissue that relied on a hand-wound mechanical movement, the latest Marlin Mesh is powered by a quartz movement. While this marks a departure from the mechanical roots of the collection, it offers greater convenience, improved accuracy and lower maintenance, making the watch an appealing everyday option.
