Zenith And Time + Tide Present The New Defy Skyline Night Surfer El Primero

This could well be the year of partnerships, as the number of collaborations between watch brands and different entities and personalities is becoming an almost daily phenomenon.

The latest known is between Zenith and the Australian speciality magazine ‘Time + Tide’, presenting the new Defy Skyline Skeleton Night Surfer El Primero, which arrives in a limited edition of 200 pieces.

The exclusive watch arrives in a microblasted titanium case with dimensions of 41mm in diameter, 11.60mm in thickness and 46.30mm lug-to-lug distance, which comes with the traditional dodecagonal-shaped bezel, flat sapphire crystal at the front and back, screw-down crown with the brand’s signature, 100m water resistance and integrated bracelet in the same material as the case that comes with a quick release system and folding clasp.

The open dial comes with the usual star-shaped skeleton with its bridges painted in gradient blue whose tone intensifies from the bottom to the top and which are also filled with luminescent material. In it, we can also find a grey chapter ring with a white minute track and applied hour markers that together with the two central pencil hands come filled with Super-LumiNova, and lastly, a running-seconds with a grey 1/10th of a second track at 6 o ‘clock that makes its pointer rotate 360º every second.

At its heart, we can find the recent high-revving Caliber El Primero 3620, which comes without a date window and is capable of reaching 36,000 Vph and offers up to 55 hours of power reserve.

The new watch will be available from November 22, 2023, in the brand’s official boutiques and in the Time + Tide online store for the price of CHF 11,900.
