Norqain Celebrates Stan Wawrinka With The Wild One “Stan The Man” LE

Norqain continues to strengthen its position in the world of Swiss sports watches with the release of the Wild One Stan the Man Limited Edition, a timepiece dedicated to Swiss tennis champion and brand ambassador Stan Wawrinka. Limited to just 85 pieces, this edition pays tribute to the athlete’s birth year, 1985, while celebrating his achievements on the court.

A Case Built for Performance

As with other models in the Wild One collection, the case architecture is both complex and robust, comprising 25 individual components. At its core is a sandblasted titanium container housing the movement, surrounded by a NORTEQ protective cage – Norqain’s proprietary carbon fibre-based material known for being both lightweight and highly durable.

Between these layers sits a yellow-green rubber shock absorber, echoing the bright colour of a tennis ball. This shock-absorbing ring not only enhances durability but also gives the watch its distinctive character. A special detail reinforces the tennis connection: the Norqain side plaque is infused with actual tennis ball fibres.

The watch measures 42 mm in diameter with a 49.40 mm lug-to-lug distance, offering a sporty yet wearable presence. Water resistance is rated at 200 metres, supported by a screw-down crown, making it a capable companion for demanding activities.

Openworked Dial with Sporty Accents

The dial follows the Wild One’s signature openworked design, allowing a clear view of the movement beneath. The plates and bridges are finished in matte black, contrasting against rhodium-plated hands and markers. To maintain legibility, Norqain has applied yellow-green Super-LumiNova to the hands, indices, and minute track. The same vibrant tone is used on the inner flange and around the shock absorber ring, tying the design back to its tennis inspiration.

COSC-Certified Movement

Powering the watch is the Norqain calibre NN08S, an openworked automatic movement based on the Sellita SW200 architecture. It is COSC-certified, ensuring chronometer-grade precision, and operates at 4Hz with a 41-hour power reserve.

The movement can be admired through the sapphire caseback, which is decorated with an engraving of Stan Wawrinka and the years of his three Grand Slam victories: the 2014 Australian Open, 2015 French Open, and 2016 US Open.

Limited Edition Details

The Norqain Wild One Stan the Man Limited Edition comes fitted with a black and yellow-green rubber strap featuring a tennis net motif. Each watch is delivered in a polished chrome spherical case, accompanied by a tennis ball signed by Stan Wawrinka.

Limited to 85 pieces worldwide, this special edition is priced at €6,700.
