Christopher Ward And Seconde/Seconde/ Add Playful Twist To C65 Desk Diver

Christopher Ward has partnered with the creative team at seconde/seconde/ to bring a playful twist to the classic C65 Desk Diver watch. Known for their unique and whimsical collaborations, seconde/seconde/, led by Romaric André, has once again added a fresh and entertaining dimension to this timepiece.

The new C65 Desk Diver stays true to its heritage with a robust, round stainless steel case measuring 41mm in diameter, 12mm in thickness, and 46.5mm in length. The brushed finish on the case adds a refined touch, while the 120-click bezel stands out with a domed sapphire insert, featuring a series of playful figures and messages. These quirky elements, a hallmark of seconde/seconde/’s creativity, are part of what makes this collaboration so special. The watch also includes a screw-down crown at the 3 o’clock position, engraved with Christopher Ward’s logo, and a solid screw-down case back that continues the fun theme. Engraved on the back is a diver, humorously equipped with a paper clip instead of an oxygen tank, alongside the inscriptions “The Desk Diver” and “How to dominate from 9 to 5.”

The dial is where this watch shines. The black face is adorned with typical Christopher Ward elements such as applied hour markers and luminous-filled hands. However, the real showstopper is a playful Post-it note located just above the 6 o’clock date window, featuring the message “The Desk Driver.” Additionally, on the first day of each month, the date window showcases a fun ‘coin’ emoji, symbolizing payday – a cheeky reminder to knuckle down and work harder. In a further nod to office culture, the outer edges of the dial are marked with a “Daily Recommended” section. This works in tandem with the bezel’s witty icons, which include a cup for “Break,” “Say Hi,” “Power Nap,” “Say Bye,” and a knife representing “Gossip.” There’s even an entry for “Office Politics” symbolized by masks, a “Move” section with a doll raising its arm, and a playful nod to digital habits with a “Doomscrolling” section labelled “Dopamine Toxicity” and “Faith in Humanity.” To add to the fun, the bezel’s inscriptions feature accents of blue and yellow, with the yellow elements glowing in the dark.

Inside the C65 Desk Diver ticks the reliable Sellita SW200 automatic movement, offering 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of up to 38 hours. This 26-jewel Swiss movement ensures the watch performs as well as it entertains.

Buyers can choose between a steel bracelet with screwed links and a folding clasp or a black Tropic rubber strap with a steel pin buckle. The watch is limited to 500 pieces, with prices starting at € 1,295 for the rubber strap version and € 1,510 for the steel bracelet option, both options include an extra Delugs yellow rubber strap.

Airain And Seconde/Seconde/ Revive Iconic Type 20 Chronograph

The historic watchmaking brand Airain, known for producing the much sought-after Type 20 chronographs that during the 50s and 60s, together with two other brands supplied the French Army, now joins the Seconde/Seconde/ brand to bring back the Type 20 in a limited edition.

Named “Up In The Air”, the new flyback Chronograph comes faithful to the original but with two records designed with the blue sky of Paris where we can visualize 8-bit pixel clouds and the tip of the Eiffel Tower mimic aeroplane portholes.

It is housed in a stainless steel case with dimensions of 39.50mm in diameter, 14.77mm in thickness and 47.70mm in length that features a brushed and polished finish, bidirectional 12-hour metallic bezel, double-domed sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock flanked by two pushers, solid case back with individual numbering and the two participating brands and finally, 50m water resistance.

The matte black dial is almost faithful to the original, features a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a running seconds at 9, large Arabic numerals that like the pencil hands come filled with beige Super-LumiNova, a minute / second track rehaut and the brand inscriptions followed by “Type 20” at noon and on the opposite side at 6 o’clock “23 Rubis” and “Incabloc” of the movement.

Inside it is powered by the hand-wound movement Caliber AM2 that presents a column-wheel and flyback chronograph, which reaches 28,800 Vph and offers up to 63 hours of power reserve.

The 88-piece edition comes attached to a black leather strap with white stitching and an additional black NATO strap with a blue stripe, with the first 44 units expected to be delivered in August and the remaining in September, priced at €3,450.

Bausele Teams Up With Seconde/Seconde/ To Present The New ‘Perspective’

Bausele, an Australian watch brand that produces vintage-inspired watches, has just announced its latest collaboration with Romaric André’s Seconde/Seconde/ brand.

Based on the Bausele Sydney Diver watch, this one comes with an oversized second hand and a pixelated graphic in the shape of a fin that, depending on your perspective, could be that of a shark or a surfboard.

On the outside, the watch wears a black IP stainless steel case with dimensions of 39.50mm in diameter, 11.60mm in thickness and 47.50mm lug-to-lug distance. In it we can find an unidirectional bezel filled with luminescent material, sapphire crystal, drilled lugs, hollow screw-down crown filled with red sand from Kimberley, Australia and flanked by guards, and solid steel case back with several engravings and highlighting the joke ‘Does that fin belong on a surfboard or a shark?’.

The watch comes in two variants, one with a white dial and the other with a black dial that feature a layered sandwich construction, with the base in light blue tones being filled with Super-LumiNova and the surface layer cut out in the shape of the hour markers. In the center hour and minute hands, also filled with luminescent material and with a blue outline and the brand’s lettering inscriptions at noon and ‘deep!’ at 6 o’clock in an allusion to its 200m of watertightness.

The second hand, which is the main highlight, extending along the entire diameter of the dial, makes the fin drawn on it reverse every 30 seconds, functioning as a water line and depending on the perspective, we could be looking at a surfboard fin when is below or a shark’s fin when it is above that water line.

Inside, it comes equipped with the Sellita SW200 automatic movement that operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.

The watches come attached to a black Tropic-type rubber strap or a blue Velcro strap, and are available from today exclusively at the Bausele store for USD 1,400 and limited to 50 units of each.

Timex Teams Up With Seconde/Seconde/ To Presents ‘iykyk’

‘If you know, you know’ is the name given through the acronym ‘iykyk’ in the most recent collaboration between the North American watchmaking brand Timex and the French creative brand Seconde/Seconde/. And if the first needs no introduction, the second is a company that has become famous for creating (or transforming) the second hand of several watches from renowned brands into something unique and fun.

This fusion of efforts resulted in two fun limited editions of 500 pieces each. The two proposals titled Episode #1 and Episode #2 are presented with Quartz movement and automatic mechanical movement respectively.

Episode #1 included in the Q Timex collection, is presented in a 38mm by 11.50mm stainless steel case with a bi-colour bezel in blue and red, acrylic glass on the front and solid case back, 50m water resistance and a steel bracelet. On the black dial, we can find hour markers in geometric shapes and cathedral hands filled with luminescent material and starred by a second hand that comes in the form of an orange straw. Inside, there is nothing new operating the Quartz 10P movement.

The second proposal under the title of Episode #2 is part of the M79 collection, embracing here a more robust stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and 14.50mm thick, bi-colour bezel in black and blue, acrylic crystal on both sides, 50m water resistance and steel bracelet matching the case material. The dial like the other proposal comes with the same shape of accents and hands, a date-day window and a second hand that takes the form of a red cartoon balloon inscribed in white with the word ‘SLAP’. The watch comes equipped with the Miyota automatic movement that offers up to 40 hours of power reserve.

The watches should not spend much time in the shop windows as the prices remain in line with those charged in regular collections, with Episode #1 costing €199 and Episode #2 €299.
