Rowing Blazers X Seiko – Act Three
Rowing Blazers has teamed up with Seiko for its third collaboration, resulting in four limited edition watches of 888 pieces each.
This latest collaboration follows the same watch design and also the number of pieces available, from the previous October 2022 collaboration, presenting as a differentiating factor a new colour palette on the dials and respective nylon straps that accompany each variant.
Thus, the new Rowing Blazers watches come dressed in a 40mm Seiko 5 Sports stainless steel case with a smooth bezel, and a finish that alternates between polished and brushed. Crown at 4 o’clock engraved with the initials of the brand that names this edition “RB”, and open through case back engraved with the reclining skeleton motif from heraldry and the Latin motto “TEMPVS FVGIT”.
As we have already mentioned, it is in the colours of the dial that the third collaboration between the two brands stands out from the previous one, so the new four variants are presented in white, pink, purple or yellow. The dial layout is unchanged, featuring a black chapter ring, black applied square hour markers filled with lume that in the white version come in different shades, hour and minute hands in the centre and a red/white “checkered flag” second’s hand, framed day-date window at 3 o’clock in English and Japanese and lastly applied Seiko logo at 12 o’clock followed by the black 5 Sports collection logo that matches the “Rowing Blazers” inscription at 6 o’clock.
Like the two previous collaborations, the watches are attached to a three-link steel bracelet with a folding clasp and also with an extra nylon strap in different shades depending on the variant. So the white variant comes with a pink strap, the purple one with a dark green strap with two yellow stripes, the yellow one with a strap with three stripes in red, yellow and green, and finally the pink one comes with a dark blue strap with two white stripes.
Inside there is nothing new, continuing to come equipped with the automatic movement 4R36 with 24 jewels, which operate at 21,600 Vph and offer up to 41 hours of power reserve.
The watches have been on sale since yesterday at the Rowing Blazers online store and at some of its flagships in New York, as well as at Seiko USA and Hodinkee shop, for a price of USD 495.
