Chronoswiss Unveils The Delphis Glacier With A Striking Ice-Inspired Design
Swiss independent watchmaker Chronoswiss has introduced the new Delphis Glacier, a limited-edition timepiece that combines the brand’s signature jumping-hour complication with a fresh glacier-inspired aesthetic. Produced in just 50 pieces, the latest addition to the Delphis collection pairs an intricate guilloché dial with a lightweight titanium case and an in-house movement specifically engineered for its distinctive display.

A Titanium Case with Signature Chronoswiss Details
The Delphis Glacier is housed in a 42 mm case crafted from Grade 5 titanium. The multi-component construction consists of 17 individual parts and showcases several design elements that have become synonymous with Chronoswiss, including the fluted caseband, polished bezel, and oversized onion-shaped crown.

Despite its substantial 14.50 mm thickness, the use of titanium helps keep the watch lightweight while giving it a modern appearance through its subtle grey hue. The case offers 100 meters of water resistance and incorporates Chronoswiss’ patented Autobloc system, designed to prevent the strap screws from loosening unintentionally.
The watch is paired with a black rubber strap secured by a folding clasp, adding a contemporary touch to the otherwise traditional complications displayed on the dial.
Glacier-Inspired Guilloché Dial
As expected from a Delphis model, the dial serves as the centerpiece of the watch. The upper section features the collection’s hallmark digital jumping-hour display positioned above a retrograde minute scale.
Finished in silver galvanic tones, this area is decorated with hand-crafted guilloché engraving inspired by the textures and patterns found in alpine glaciers. The intricate finishing creates a dynamic interplay with light while enhancing the dial’s three-dimensional architecture.

The lower portion houses the small seconds display, executed in a vivid blue CVD finish. This section also features hand-made guilloché decoration, creating a visual contrast against the silver upper dial while reinforcing the icy theme that defines the watch.
The combination of layered construction, contrasting finishes, and detailed craftsmanship results in a dial with remarkable depth and visual complexity.
Manufacture Movement with Jumping Hours and Retrograde Minutes
Powering the Delphis Glacier is the Chronoswiss Manufacture Calibre C.6004, an automatic movement developed to drive the collection’s unique jumping-hour and retrograde-minute indication.

The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the calibre features a skeletonized tungsten rotor along with refined decorative finishes, including Geneva stripes, polished screws, and a ruthenium-plated bridge.
