The New Panerai Luminor PAM02025: Honoring 25 Years Of Paneristi

This year, Panerai celebrates a significant milestone, marking the 25th anniversary of its largest enthusiast community, the Paneristi. Each year, this passionate group gathers in a different location worldwide to celebrate P-Day, a day dedicated to both the brand and its devoted following. This year’s celebration took place in Kuala Lumpur, culminating in the highly anticipated release of the limited edition Panerai Luminor Veinticinque PAM02025.

Limited to just 1,000 pieces, the PAM02025 is inspired by the iconic 1950 PAM00127 model, featuring a 44mm “old” steel case that exudes a timeless elegance. The watch’s distinct square Luminor case is crafted from Brunito steel, Panerai’s unique alloy, which boasts an aged brushed finish, creating the appearance of a timeworn treasure. The design includes straight drilled lugs, a fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the signature arched safe lock, and an open case back. Its robust 300-meter water resistance adds functionality to its vintage aesthetic.

One of the standout features of the PAM02025 is its mesmerizing blue gradient dial. The dial employs Panerai’s traditional sandwich construction, with the lower layer filled with beige Super-LumiNova, while the top layer showcases cut-outs for the hour markers and Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12. The smoked blue-grained background darkens toward the edges, creating a striking visual effect. Complementing the dial are two central golden pencil hands, also filled with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility in low light. The “Luminor Panerai” inscription at noon adds a refined touch to the overall design.

Through the rear sapphire crystal, adorned with the Paneristi 25th-anniversary logo, owners can admire the  Caliber P.6000. This hand-wound movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (Vph) and offers an impressive 3-day power reserve. The attention to detail extends to the watch’s strap, a brown leather band with a steel pin buckle that enhances the overall vintage-inspired look.

The Panerai Luminor PAM02025 is currently available for pre-order at Panerai boutiques, priced at CHF 7,800. However, deliveries will not commence until September of next year, making this timepiece a highly anticipated addition for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
