The Rambler: A Retro Classic From Lorier And Janus Motorcycles

Lorier in collaboration with Janus Motorcycles presents the special edition Rambler, inspired by the classic Field and Pilot Watches.

The two brands with a taste for retro classic style bring back the reliable and tough watches that populated the wrists of returning war veterans who roamed the roads on motorcycles embracing a spirit of adventure. As the brand says, the new Rambler is not for pampering but to be used “made to go anywhere and everywhere”.

The watch follows the references of the classic Rolex Oyster Imperial 2595, Universal Geneve 20504 and Omega 6B/459, presented in a round brushed stainless steel case with classic dimensions of 36mm wide by 11mm high and 44mm long, smooth polished bezel, dome Hesalite crystal, drilled lugs, screw-down crown at 3 o’clock with brand logo, solid screwed case back inscribed with Rambler and mention of Janus Motorcycles and 100m water resistance.

The off-white dial is designed with Arabic numerals filled with a yellow-orange Super-LumiNova that gives it a patina look, the same one we will also find on the heat-blue hands. A red centre seconds hand, a railroad minute track along the edges, the brand’s inscriptions at noon just below the triangular marker, and Rambler at 6 o’clock.

Inside, it comes equipped with the 24-jewel Miyota Caliber 90S5 automatic movement, with a hacking seconds function reaching 28,800 Vph and offering up to 42 hours of power reserve.

The watch arrives attached to a vintage-style brown leather strap reminiscent of the leather jackets worn by bikers and veteran pilots and is expected to hit the market at the end of August with a tag price of €465.95.
