King Seiko Unveils The New Vanac HKF004 Limited Edition
The revival of the King Seiko collection has allowed Seiko to reconnect with some of its most distinctive historical designs, and few lines capture that retro-futuristic energy better than the Vanac series. Originally introduced during the 1970s, the Vanac models stood out for their sharp case shapes, vibrant aesthetics, and sporty integrated-bracelet style.

Now, the Japanese brand expands the modern Vanac lineup with the new limited-edition King Seiko Vanac HKF004, a model that combines the angular design language of the originals with a contemporary movement and anniversary-inspired colour scheme.
A Sporty Case With Vintage Character
The new HKF004 keeps the same architectural case design introduced with last year’s modern Vanac collection. Crafted from stainless steel, the case measures 41 mm in diameter and 14.30 mm thick, while the compact 45.10 mm lug-to-lug distance should help improve wrist comfort despite its bold proportions.

The overall design strongly reflects the sporty style associated with 1970s integrated-bracelet watches. Sharp lines, faceted surfaces, and alternating brushed and polished finishes create a dynamic appearance, while the integrated stainless steel bracelet continues the geometric profile of the case. The bracelet itself combines mirror-polished and brushed links, enhancing the watch’s light-catching effect.
Water resistance is rated at 100 metres, reinforcing the watch’s everyday sporty credentials.
Silver-White Dial With Seiko Blue Accents
One of the defining elements of the new Vanac HKF004 is its silver-white dial paired with vivid blue accents inspired by “Seiko Blue,” a colour theme closely linked to the brand’s anniversary editions and historical identity from the 1960s.

The dial layout remains clean and highly legible, with a blue outer ring adding contrast against the lighter central section. A subtle horizontal striped texture introduces extra depth without overwhelming the overall design.
Several details are exclusive to the Vanac line, including the distinctive V-shaped marker positioned at 12 o’clock and the matching V-shaped counterweight on the central seconds hand. The applied indexes feature Lumibrite inserts for improved visibility in low-light conditions, while the hands are also finished in blue to complement the dial accents.
Turning the watch over reveals another heritage-inspired detail: a blue King Seiko shield emblem on the sapphire caseback, referencing the original logos used by the brand during the 1960s.
Powered By The Calibre 8L45
Inside the King Seiko Vanac HKF004 is the automatic calibre 8L45, the same movement used in previous modern Vanac releases. The movement is derived from the Grand Seiko 9S65 architecture and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

It delivers a substantial 72-hour power reserve and is rated for an accuracy of +10/-5 seconds per day. The movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal caseback, showcasing striped finishing across the rotor, bridges, and plates.
Limited To 800 Pieces
The new King Seiko Vanac HKF004 will be produced as a limited edition of 800 pieces worldwide. Availability is scheduled for July 2026, with a retail price of € 3,400.
