Venezianico’s Arsenale Becomes A Canvas For IFL Watches’ Latest Creation

IFL Watches continues its exploration of hand-painted dials with a new collaboration alongside Italian brand Venezianico. Following their first joint project inspired by Venetian heritage, the two brands return with the Arsenale Arlecchino, a limited-edition timepiece that draws directly from one of Venice’s most iconic cultural traditions: the Carnival of Venice.

The Arsenale Arlecchino combines Venezianico’s contemporary sports watch design with IFL Watches’ distinctive artistic approach, resulting in a piece where traditional craftsmanship and modern watchmaking intersect.

A Familiar Platform: The Venezianico Arsenale Case

The base of this special edition is the Venezianico Arsenale, the brand’s integrated-bracelet sports watch. The stainless steel case measures 40 mm in diameter, with a slim 9.95 mm thickness and a compact 44 mm lug-to-lug length, offering balanced proportions suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, reinforcing its everyday-wear orientation.

The watch is fitted with Venezianico’s Canova Concept integrated steel bracelet, which tapers toward a push-button folding clasp. The bracelet design emphasizes continuity between the case and bracelet, maintaining the Arsenale’s clean and modern aesthetic.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Miyota 9039 automatic movement. Part of Miyota’s 9000-series, this caliber operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a 42-hour power reserve. The movement is a no-date configuration, allowing the dial artwork to remain uninterrupted.

The Arlecchino Dial: Hand-Painted and Individually Unique

The defining feature of the Arsenale Arlecchino is its hand-painted dial, created by the artists at IFL Watches. Each dial begins with the black version of the Arsenale base, allowing key functional elements—such as the applied hour markers, the Venezianico emblem, and portions of the minute track—to remain visible beneath the artwork.

At the center of the dial is a stylized Carnival mask, rendered in white and surrounded by flowing ribbons of color. Vivid tones of orange, blue, green, and yellow extend across the surface, creating movement and depth while preserving legibility. The composition is intentionally non-symmetrical, reinforcing the handcrafted nature of the piece.

Notably, the design does not reference a specific Carnival character. Instead, the imagery reflects the broader symbolism of the Venice Carnival, where masks historically allowed participants to set aside social roles and identities during the festivities.

Because each dial is painted by hand, no two examples are exactly alike, reinforcing the collectible nature of the watch.

Limited Production and Availability

The IFL Watches × Venezianico Arsenale Arlecchino is limited to 200 individually numbered pieces. Each watch is delivered on the stainless steel integrated bracelet and includes an additional black rubber strap for a more casual wearing option.
