Venezianico brings a new Nereide GMT to the collection, the Xi’an Limited Edition, a model inspired by the historic Silk Road and the long-standing cultural exchange between Europe and East Asia. The watch draws a symbolic connection between Venice—one of the western gateways of the Silk Road—and Xi’an, widely regarded as the eastern starting point of the ancient trade route.

The dial immediately sets this edition apart. Finished in red, a color traditionally associated with prosperity and celebration in Chinese culture, it is constructed from a hand-assembled mother-of-pearl mosaic. The pattern recalls stylized cloud motifs commonly found in traditional Chinese art. Tudor has introduced an exceptionally rare edition of its Black Bay GMT created in collaboration with two external partners, Phantaci and Undefeated. This release represents the first three-way collaboration in Tudor’s history and results in a watch that remains technically identical to the standard Black Bay GMT, while featuring discreet design elements unique to this edition.

Familiar Architecture with Discreet Customization

The watch is built on the established Black Bay GMT platform and retains its 41mm stainless steel case, paired with a bidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a burgundy and blue anodized aluminum insert. It is delivered on Tudor’s signature rivet-style stainless steel bracelet and offers 200 meters of water resistance, maintaining the model’s professional tool-watch specifications.

Inside the case is the Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5652, an automatic “flyer” GMT movement that allows the local hour hand to be adjusted independently. The movement is COSC-certified, features a silicon balance spring, and provides a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. No technical changes have been made to the movement for this collaboration.

Dial Details Unique to the Collaboration

The most noticeable differences appear on the dial. At 6 o’clock, the usual text has been replaced by custom gold printing displaying the names of the two collaborating brands. Phantaci, the fashion label co-founded by Taiwanese artist and actor Jay Chou, appears alongside Undefeated, the Los Angeles–based streetwear brand and sneaker retailer. Beneath the two brand names, a line of Chinese characters is printed in white. The phrase translates to “World Time Machine,” a reference to the GMT complication that defines the model. All other dial elements, including the snowflake hands, applied hour markers, and the red GMT hand, remain consistent with the standard Black Bay GMT.

Caseback and Limited Production

While Tudor typically uses plain casebacks, this edition features a black laser-engraved caseback created specifically for the collaboration. The engraving depicts an abstract atomic-style pattern, with the logos of Tudor, Phantaci, and Undefeated positioned at its center. Each watch is individually numbered as part of a strictly limited production of 99 pieces.

Availability

The Phantaci x Undefeated x Tudor Black Bay GMT is not available for public purchase. Production is limited to just 99 examples, which are distributed exclusively to friends and family of the three brands involved. As a result, no official retail price has been disclosed.

The collaboration introduces two variants that offer a clear “day and night” contrast, each produced in small numbers and scheduled for release on November 13, 2025, at 9 a.m. Eastern.

Limited Edition Models

The release includes two limited editions. One version features a black dial paired with a black-coated case and is limited to 100 pieces. The second version offers a cream dial in a stainless-steel case and is limited to 250 pieces. Both share the familiar 40 mm stainless-steel platform with a combination of brushed and polished finishing, preserving the sturdy, functional character associated with the Modello Quattro design language.

Updated Dial Layout

The most significant updates appear on the dial. Previous U4 GMT versions used either a laser-etched 24-hour bezel or an internal 24-hour disc visible through the dial. This collaboration shifts the entire 24-hour scale onto the dial itself, giving the display a cleaner and more direct layout.

Each model features contrasting print for maximum legibility: black print on the cream dial, white print on the black dial. The hour numerals introduce a geometric, that stands out against the minimalist dial design. The date aperture has been removed, further simplifying readability.
