Unimatic Introduces The Modello Quattro Ultratool In Lightweight Titanium
Italian watchmaker Unimatic continues to expand its utilitarian-inspired lineup with the new Modello Quattro Ultratool, a limited-edition release focused on durability, lightweight construction, and everyday practicality. Offered in both time-only and GMT configurations, the new references maintain the brand’s unmistakable minimalist aesthetic while introducing a titanium case construction and enhanced shock protection system.

Titanium Construction for Improved Wearability
The new Modello Quattro Ultratool retains the familiar silhouette of the standard Modello Quattro, featuring the angular case profile, oversized screw-down crown, and clean military-inspired dial layout that have become signatures of the Milan-based brand.

What sets the Ultratool apart is its Grade 2 titanium case, measuring 40 mm in diameter and 12 mm thick. Thanks to the use of titanium, the watch weighs just 65 grams, representing a noticeable reduction compared to its stainless steel counterparts. The lighter construction aims to improve comfort during extended wear without compromising robustness.
Both versions feature a wide fixed bezel design and maintain the understated industrial styling that defines Unimatic’s Toolwatch collection.
Designed for Maximum Durability
The Ultratool has been engineered with resistance and reliability in mind. Inside the case, Unimatic integrates its proprietary 360° protection system, which uses a thermoplastic polyurethane shock-absorbing shell positioned between the movement and the case structure. This system is designed to help protect the movement from impacts and vibrations encountered during daily use.

Instead of mechanical calibers, Unimatic opted for quartz movements to prioritize toughness and low maintenance. The time-only model is powered by a Seiko quartz movement, while the GMT version uses a Ronda caliber.
The dial emphasizes legibility with large numerical markers rendered in the brand’s Custom Variable Font, specifically developed to optimize readability in different lighting conditions. Green-emission Super-LumiNova coating on the hands and hour markers enhances visibility in low-light environments.
GMT Version with Disc Display
While the standard Ultratool keeps a straightforward time-only display, the GMT variant introduces a more unconventional approach to dual-time functionality.

Rather than using a traditional GMT hand, the watch features a rotating 24-hour disc displayed through an aperture positioned below 12 o’clock. An orange triangular indicator points to the second time zone, adding a distinctive technical touch to the otherwise minimalist dial.
The GMT reference also includes a frameless date display at 6 o’clock with a matching color date disc for a cleaner overall appearance.
Strap and Limited Availability
Both models are paired with a black nylon two-piece strap secured by a pin buckle. A subtle orange inner layer exposed along the strap edges adds a contrasting accent and visually connects with the orange GMT indicator found on the dual-time version.

The new Unimatic Modello Quattro Ultratool references are limited to just 99 pieces each.
Price and Availability
The Modello Quattro Ultratool collection is available directly through Unimatic with the Time-only UT4-U-TI — costing € 610 and the GMT UT4-U-TI-GMT costing € 730.
