Introducing the Hanhart #FliegerFriday

New Pitch Watch

Social media have played a fundamental role in the growth of the number of enthusiasts in the world of watches, and one of the phenomena that have contributed a lot to this is the creation of numerous hashtags, despite this being a relatively recent phenomenon, they are increasingly adopted by collectors, among them are, for example, #SpeedyTuesday, which associate the use of Omega Speedmaster watches on the Tuesdays, #SeikoSaturday, which associate the use of Seiko watches on the Saturdays, and #FliegerFriday, which associate the use of pilots’ watches on the Fridays. And it is from this last hashtag that first appeared in 2015 and has gained more and more followers, that a chronograph limited edition of the Hanhart brand is now available, dedicated exclusively to this phenomenon that aims to challenge enthusiasts, after a long week of work to “travel” out physically or spiritually and relax by enjoying a weekend’s.

The new Hanhart #FliegerFriday stands out for its royal blue dial with red accents and a black case with the usual red pusher that has been present at the brand since 1938 with the introduction of its first chronograph that was created to prevent pilots from accidentally zeroing the stop time.

Hanhart’s latest chronograph features a 42mm stainless-steel case with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating, which as the name suggests is hard as a diamond and characterized by its high abrasive and corrosion protection, convex sapphire crystal anti-reflex, open-through case back, and 100 meters water resistance.

Inside the dial, an inner ring with minute scale, Arabic hour markers, and cathedral hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, central seconds hand with a red tip, two subdials, a 30 minutes counter at 3 o’clock with a tip red hand, small seconds at 9 o’clock and a date aperture at 6 o’clock. Inside, the automatic movement HAN3809 operates, based on the Sellita SW 500 with La Joux-Perret modification and offering up to 42 hours of power reserve. The watch is offered with a blue ox leather strap with a suede finish with a red cross stitching on the lugs.

As already mentioned, this is a limited edition of 100 units that can be purchased for the price of €2,490.
