Breguet has introduced platinum to its Classique collection with the elegant 5177 and 7787 models, both featuring stunning black enamel dials. These timepieces showcase the brand’s signature Grand Feu enamel, created meticulously by layering and firing it at 800ºC. This results in dials that maintain their lustrous appearance over time, adding a timeless elegance to the watches.

Classique 5177 Platinum

It’s a refined example of Breguet’s craftsmanship, featuring a 38mm platinum case with an 8.80mm thickness. The case, finished with a smooth bezel and fluted profile, highlights the brand’s attention to detail. It features thin, straight lugs, and a sapphire crystal case back, offering a view of the intricate movement. The crown, positioned at 3 o’clock, complements the classic round design.

The black enamel dial is adorned with powdered silver Breguet numerals and rhodium-plated hands with open tips. A discreet date window near the crown sits on a black background, while an embossed star-shaped track lines the edges of the dial, with diamond-shaped markers at the cardinal points.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Caliber 777Q automatic movement, operating at 28,800 Vph and offering a power reserve of up to 55 hours. The movement is beautifully decorated with Geneva stripes and circular graining, while the gold rotor features a starry mosaic guilloché pattern.

Paired with a glossy black alligator leather strap and a platinum pin buckle, this model is priced at CHF 36,800.

Classique 7787 Platinum

The watch offers a slightly larger case at 39mm in diameter and 10.30mm thick. Like the 5177, it features the same high-quality platinum case with a polished finish and a fluted profile.

The black enamel dial, however, introduces additional complications with a moon phase display positioned at noon, featuring a hammered white gold moon against a blue lacquered sky with rhodium-plated stars. The dial also includes a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock, but notably, there is no date window, ensuring a clean, uncluttered aesthetic.

Powered by the 591 DRL automatic movement, the 7787 operates at the same 4 Hz frequency but offers a slightly shorter power reserve of 38 hours. The movement is decorated with a gold rotor displaying a guilloché barleycorn pattern.

This model comes with a black alligator leather strap and a platinum triple-folding clasp. The Classique 7787 Platinum is priced at CHF 43,800.
