Chronoswiss Neo Digiteur Returns In Three Pastel Colours
Chronoswiss revisits one of the most distinctive chapters in its history with the new Neo Digiteur Pastel Code Collection, a trio of limited-edition watches that combine mechanical digital displays with contemporary pastel colours. Available in Rose, Mint and Sky, the new versions retain the unusual regulator-inspired architecture of the Neo Digiteur while introducing a different dial treatment and a more accessible price point.

The concept traces its roots to the original Digiteur, introduced in 2005. Inspired by both the regulator watches associated with Chronoswiss founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang and the aperture watches popular during the Art Deco period, the Digiteur replaced conventional hands with three separate indications for hours, minutes and seconds.
The Neo Digiteur returned to this distinctive format in 2025, and the new Pastel Code editions now give the design a softer and more contemporary aesthetic.
A rectangular Art Deco-inspired case
The stainless-steel case measures 48 mm long, 30 mm wide and 9.70 mm thick, retaining the proportions of the previous Neo Digiteur editions. Its elongated, curved profile gives the watch a distinctive presence while remaining relatively slim for a mechanically complex timepiece.

The finishing combines several contrasting surfaces. The curved outer edges are horizontally brushed and framed by polished bevels, while the recessed case flanks receive a sandblasted treatment. This combination creates definition across the otherwise streamlined architecture.
Chronoswiss has also adapted its characteristic onion-style crown to the case. The smaller, flattened crown features fluting underneath, providing grip for manual winding without interrupting the watch’s clean silhouette.
Three pastel dials
The main visual change comes through the dials, offered in Rose, Mint and Sky. Rather than using traditional metallic or darker colours, Chronoswiss applies pastel tones to the sandblasted surfaces before adding a layer of lacquer. The result is a matte base with additional depth and visual richness.

Despite the new colours, the unusual vertical display remains unchanged.
At 12 o’clock, a rectangular aperture with angled sides indicates the jumping hours, using dark blue numerals against a matte white background. Below it, the larger arched aperture displays the minutes, while a panoramic horizontal opening at the bottom indicates the continuously running seconds.
The three displays are deeply recessed and framed by bevelled edges, helping to separate each indication visually. The individual number of each watch is also printed beneath the seconds display, with production limited to 99 pieces per colourway.
Mechanical digital displays
Behind the unusual dial architecture is a mechanical system designed specifically to operate three separate rotating discs.
The discs themselves are manufactured from lightweight aluminium to reduce their inertia. This is particularly important for the jumping-hour display, which requires a significant amount of energy to move instantaneously at the top of every hour.

Chronoswiss’s proprietary Digiteur module addresses this challenge through a bidirectional winding system. The crown can be turned in either direction without compromising the jumping-hour mechanism.
The module also stores energy in a spring before releasing it in a concentrated burst to advance the hour disc. The minutes and seconds remain continuously driven, creating the distinctive combination of a jumping hour with dragging minute and seconds indications.
Manual-winding movement
Power comes from the C.85757, a manually wound calibre based on the Peseux 7001 architecture. It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz) and provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve.

The movement decoration is also different from the more elaborate finishing used on previous Neo Digiteur versions. Instead of hand-guilloché details on the wheel bridge, the Pastel Code models feature a Côtes de Genève finish.
This more restrained approach contributes to the lower price of the new editions while retaining the mechanical character expected from Chronoswiss.
Availability & Price

Our Opinion
The Neo Digiteur remains one of Chronoswiss’s most distinctive contemporary creations, largely because its unusual display is not simply a digital-looking dial but a genuinely mechanical interpretation of digital timekeeping. The Pastel Code editions add a more playful dimension to that architecture without changing the underlying concept.
The combination of the Art Deco-inspired rectangular case, three-dimensional apertures and pastel dials gives these limited editions a particularly unconventional character, while the manual-winding movement and dedicated jumping-hour mechanism keep the focus firmly on traditional mechanical watchmaking.
