Bianchet Expands Its Collection With The New UltraFino Rotondo
Bianchet introduces a significant evolution to its collection with the new UltraFino Rotondo Flying Tourbillon, a model that marks the brand’s move beyond its signature tonneau-shaped cases. While the maison has built much of its identity around bold, angular silhouettes, this latest release embraces a refined round case design paired with an integrated bracelet, offering a fresh interpretation of its sporty haute horlogerie aesthetic.

The new case measures 39.50 mm in diameter and comes in at an impressively slim 8.90 mm thickness, reinforcing the “UltraFino” name. Despite its round bezel and dial, the case retains a contemporary architectural feel thanks to its faceted profile and the seamless integration of the bracelet.
Lightweight Materials and Integrated Bracelet
Bianchet offers the UltraFino Rotondo in two highly technical materials: Grade 5 titanium and high-density carbon. These choices not only enhance durability but also ensure exceptional comfort on the wrist.

The titanium version weighs just 75 grams, while the carbon model reduces that figure even further to an astonishing 48 grams, both including their integrated bracelets. This lightweight construction makes the watch particularly appealing for daily wear despite its high-complication movement.
The integrated bracelet further reinforces the watch’s luxurious sports-watch character, giving it a sleek and cohesive appearance that blends elegance with modern performance.
In-House Flying Tourbillon Movement
Powering the new release is Bianchet’s In-house UR01 automatic flying tourbillon calibre, a movement specifically adapted to fit the brand’s new round case geometry. The skeletonised architecture exposes the mechanical complexity of the calibre while preserving an ultra-thin profile.

The movement delivers a 60-hour power reserve, ensuring solid autonomy for a high-complication automatic watch.
Visible at 12 o’clock is the suspended mainspring barrel, while the flying tourbillon occupies the lower half of the dial at 6 o’clock. Housed in a lightweight titanium cage, the tourbillon completes one full rotation every 60 seconds, also serving as the running seconds indication.
Skeletonised Dial and Finishing
The openworked dial remains one of the most striking elements of the UltraFino Rotondo. Through its skeleton construction, the wearer is given a full view of the movement’s bridges, gear train, and rotating regulating organ.

Bianchet places strong emphasis on craftsmanship, with the movement’s hand-finished bevelled edges requiring approximately 30 hours of work alone, highlighting the artisanal nature of the piece.
Legibility is also carefully considered, particularly in the carbon version, where the darker movement components are paired with hands featuring a contrasting red central stripe for improved visibility.
Price and Availability
The new Bianchet UltraFino Rotondo Flying Tourbillon is priced at CHF 62,500 in Grade 5 titanium, while the high-density carbon version is priced at CHF 67,500.

With this release, Bianchet expands its design language without losing its distinctive mechanical identity, combining lightweight materials, an ultra-thin profile, and a sophisticated flying tourbillon movement in a new round sports-luxury format.
